Posted September 30, 200916 yr comment_5444691 Since there's not a lot of lucha footage from the 80s, I guess we'll have to include the best matches available. The "Masakre" version of the Infernales were consistently entertaining in all of the available footage. This was only a two fall match, but there was enough action for three falls. It was a trios match building towards a Rayo vs. MS-1 title match, but as you can imagine Fiera and Satanico stole the show. Plenty of great trios work from the Infernales and some fantastic bumping and comedy spots. The highlight for me was Fiera's KO of Masakre on the outside. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NPCF7TG8 CMLL UWA 80's Disc 2 ALSO Classic Lucha 1986-1987
November 30, 200915 yr comment_5446082 Yeah this was a bunch of fun. Tony Salazar's Super Astro back tope was slick as fuck and I always enjoy Rayo. Not a super high end match, but deserves a place on the set.
November 23, 201014 yr comment_5458590 Very, very good match. Starts out with Infernales doing their thing, which is always great, but add to that a wild 3rd fall with the technicos really stepping up. Rayo mask is ripped and he is bloodied up and flies around the ring spraying blood. It is always great to see Fiera and he has some really pretty moments of athleticism as well. Huge ringpost bump by Satanico and this is a slam dunk. Classic Lucha vol 15
May 10, 201114 yr comment_5470961 This felt like it would be a good match to look at when thinking about what Tom said about needing to develop new terminology to describe stock lucha libre spots, as a lot of this match felt the Infernales putting on a clinic on classic rudo trio performance tropes. We get the mugging of the technicos individually, the king of the hill segment, the combination of the two where one guy gets mugged and the other two have be screened out, the interfall mauling of the already beaten technicos...really, if they just had a segment built on stooging and bumping around for the technicos, we would have had a pretty complete picture of what you're likely to encounter in any given rudo trios performance. We also get Rayo making his own comeback and the subsequent rallying of the troops, so the technicos got one of their classic segments in, too. And all of it looked great, making this a pretty easy nomination.
October 11, 201113 yr comment_5484900 Another winner between these teams, with the Infernales being violent pricks and the tecnicos looking good taking it. Salazar may have been the MVP for the faces, he took some nice bumps and had the aforementioned tope en reversa. Speaking guys with great topes en reversa, Rayo looked really good here, too, especially in the finishing stretch. This goes forward.
July 9, 201213 yr comment_5509722 Los Infernales (Masakre/MS-1/Satanico) vs. La Fiera/Rayo de Jalisco Jr./Tony Salazar (3/13/87) Damn are the Infernales some hateful fucks here as they brutalize the tecnicos early with Satanico being especially evil. The match was building to a future Rayo/MS-1 singles match for the Mexican National Lt. Heavyweight Title but Fiera & Satanico didn't care about that and they stole the show although Salazar held his own. This version of the Infernales was the best version IMO mainly thanks to Masakre as MS-1 & Satanico were great but Masakre was the glue that held everything together. Salazar was fun here as well with his great tope reversa while Rayo was fired up when he was on offense and I loved his hair sticking out of his ripped mask looking like Kahoz. I dug this a lot and this moves forward as a strong low-end pick.

August 18, 201312 yr comment_5556948 These are the same match. One is edited without replays and that threw me off but the one with replays has better VQ.
