Posted October 3, 200915 yr comment_5444803 This was a pure Choshu match -- short, not a ton of depth or selling but real intense, physical and never boring. The style played to Brody's strengths and the interactions between him and Choshu really fired up the crowd. I'm not sure they ever met again. Anyway, I'll throw it a low-level nomination. June 17, 201015 yr comment_5452102 Riki Choshu/Yoshiaki Yatsu vs. Killer Brooks/Bruiser Brody 3/9/85 - Brody makes his grand entrance and the crowd goes nuts. We have another match where you know one of the subordinates is going to take the fall. Brody actually showed some vulnerability as Choshu was setting up the Sharpshooter but Brooks came in to save him. After some brawling on the outside, Choshu sets him up again and Brooks saves again. Good stuff. Brooks should have minded his own business because he gets beaten on by both guys. Once he is locked in the Sharpshooter, Brody returns the favor and kicks the smile off Choshu’s face. Strange double whip spot where the subordinates ram heads, Brody-Yatsu end up out of the ring and Choshu beats Brooks with a backdrop suplex. Real fun tag but low level nomination at best.
September 27, 201015 yr comment_5456364 Riki Choshu & Yoshiaki Yatsu vs. Bruiser Brody & Killer Brooks (3/9/85) Brody goes all in the crowd going nuts swinging the chain which was great. Brody & Choshu then brawl at the bell as streamers fly in the ring with Brooks & Yatsu trying to work through them. I loved the Brody/Choshu exchanges and I think this was the only time they ever met in the ring so this is pretty valuable. Brody also took quite a bit here from Choshu which was surprising. This would have good back and forth action until Brooks got caught in the end with a backdrop suplex by Choshu. Very cool seeing Brody & Choshu face off but there isn't enough here for a nomination.
