Posted October 4, 200915 yr comment_5444804 DVD #7 3/16/85 Mighty Inoue vs. Chavo Guerrero - Some slick wrestling here, but we only got about five minuites, and the ending was a bit random. Baba/Fuchi vs. Road Warriors - It was fun to watch Baba tussle with the Warriors. But then they beat Fuchi pretty casually. So it felt like little more than a squash. Choshu/Yatsu vs. Kimura/Tsurumi - Kimura and Tsurumi beat on Yatsu most of the way. The crowd got fired up when Choshu tagged in and restored order. He felt like the biggest star in the company at this point. The double team move that finished Tsurumi looked particularly vicious, but this wasn't a high-end match. Jumbo/Tenryu vs. Brody/Brooks - Brooks threw some nice punches, but the main guys didn't seem too excited to work here. 3/23/85 Road Warriors vs. Choshu/Khan - Animal hoisted Khan for a press slam. Impressive. The Warriors kicked Choshu's ass for most of this so when he rallied with a lariat out of the corner, the crowd went nuts. Match ended in chaos a few minutes later. It was all pretty fun while it lasted, but damn, the Warriors were limited. Tenryu/Baba/Jumbo vs. Brody/Kimura/Tsurumi - Lots of flaws here. Brody and Tenryu looked on completely different pages several times. The ending came out of nowehere on a Baba boot to Tsurumi's face. Yuck. Yatsu/Hamaguchi vs. TG Stone/Wallas - Nothing memorable. Tiger Mask/Fuchi vs. Kobayashi/Honaga - They only aired the finishing stretch, which was at least exciting.
