Posted October 7, 200915 yr comment_5444869 This was better than I remembered it being, but still it has that "fish out of water" feeling to it. Some people dig that sort of stuff, but I prefer the authentic stuff. Still, Owen was better than I gave him credit for last time. Marty was a wee bit past it at this point, kinda like WoS in general, but Walton was pretty excited. Unfortunately, the match was clipped like many of TWC episodes, and besides, I don't like how this is one of Jones' more famous matches because Owen is in it. It's not much of a gateway drug to WoS to be honest.

Owen took the first fall with a spectacular roll-up. Jones responded by upping the violence. They didn't flow perfectly, and as OJ mentioned, Jones had probably lost a few steps athletically. But every round featured something interesting. The match deserves to go on the set and not just because Owen is a name. WOS V2 1
