January 25, 201114 yr comment_5463003 Danny Davis v. Barry Horowitz Really awesome rope running spot early. The work is basic here but it is good. Horowtiz with a big bump off a missed top rope elbow. Finish is Davis reversing a small package. This reminded me of a not as awesome version of Mike Jackson v. Barry Horowitz from Florida. Jimmy Golden promo Clips from the previous weeks brawl with the Russians/Golden and Fantastics. Fantastics promo Bob Armstrong comes out and lays down the law for brawl, fining everyone Ron Wright reads a fan letter. Tremendous as he claims they sent him five bucks, he starts calling himself a "Good Christian, clean scientific wrestler." EXTRA Tommy Angel v. Bob Holly Holly takes a nice falling between the ropes bump. Ron Wright wheels out to ringside again. Wright helps a heel again and Holly wins with a pretty awesome looking top rope dropkick. Paul Orndorff promo SMW rules are run down. Brian Lee promo Carl Styles v. Reno Riggins Dutch claims he is to sick to wrestle so he can hide from Brian Lee at the announce table. Match is nothing really. Jim Cornette promo Jimmy Golden v. Robert Gibson Decent match when Golden was on offense. I did not think much of Gibson here. Brian Lee promo Rip Rogers promo. "I can hit more home runs than Bobby Bonilla!" Bob Holly v. Joey Maggs Maggs reversing a finger point into a fireman's carry was great. Maggs also had some nice armdrags. This actually had some good back and fourth with both guys having decent offense and holly hit a big elbow for the finish. Not bad. Tim Horner interview while Rip Rogers does squats! Tremendous! Horner puts 500 bucks down that Rogers can't do them for the whole hours. Terry Gordy v. Tommy Angel Well i liked the powerbomb finish. The Bullet wheels him off the set. EXTRA Paul Orndorff promo Paul Orndorff v. Barry Horowitz Decent opening mat work. Barry's running knee that knocked Paul to the floor looked good. Barry rubs his elbow into Orndorff's face and hits a slingshot on the bottom rope. A couple of pretty decent nearfalls for Horowitz. Barry sells and bumps for the comeback knee like it's a cannon shot. Orndorff throws Barry to the floor and beats him around ringside with Horowitz bumping big. Paul hits his diving elbow and goes for a piledriver but the ref reminds him that's a violation of SMW rules. Paul misses a dropkick. Orndorff wins with a flash backslide. Strange seeing Orndorff beat Horowitz with a "fluke pin." Good match, a hair short of nomination. Jim Cornette promo Dutch Mantell/Carl Styles promo Carl Styles v. Brian Lee This was boring as fuck.
