Posted November 22, 200915 yr comment_5445948 DVD #12 5/25/85 Tiger Mask/Fuchi vs. Bulldogs - JIP. This had a few decent sequences but no discernible structure and an arbitrary ending. Baba/Kabuki/Jumbo vs. Singh/Kimura/Tsurumi - Decent heat but it ended very abruptly on a Baba boot to Tsurumi. Tenryu/Ishikawa/Inoue vs. Choshu/Teranishi/Hamaguchi - Tenryu needed to be more engaged here. The crowd perked up as usual when he and Choshu matched up, but for about 10 minutes, you wouldn't have known he was in the match. I enjoyed some Teranishi sequences with Ishikawa and Inoue but this dragged way too often and had a shitty finish to boot. These episodes are real slogs. 6/1/85 Ryuma Go/Kimura/Tsurumi vs. Khan/Yatsu/Niikura - Nothing match. Bulldogs vs. Choshu/Hamaguchi - This was ok, I guess. At least Choshu and Hamaguchi knew how to structure a tag match. But nothing really stood out, and I saw no reason why this had to go countout, given that the Bulldogs were usually booked against juniors. Road Warriors vs. Ishikawa/Gotoh - Two-minute squash. Baba/Jumbo/Tenryu vs. Singh/Gordy/Milano - Gordy was a breath of fresh air, and it's always fun to watch the crowd react to Baba in peril. But this didn't really go anywhere in the end. All Japan sucked more often than not in this period.
