Posted November 26, 200915 yr comment_5446014 Iceman King Parsons & "Modern Day Warrior" Kerry Von Erich vs. The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes & Buddy Roberts) (8/26/83) Birds are all in white here which is the first time I've seen them in all white since the Georgia days. For some reason, Kerry is working barefoot here and I don't think Bill Mercer explained why this happened. Birds stooge and bump hard early on for both faces and this was tremendous as Hayes pinballed around before getting both knees up in the corner as Iceman tried a running splash. Iceman got the heat and both Birds really worked over him good especially Hayes who hit a wicked swinging neckbreaker for a nearfall. Iceman would finally get the hot tag to Kerry who ran wild before the 4 way brawl started with Iceman going for the headgear and pulling it off his head on a snapmare revealing a bald Buddy and the Birds get counted out as they run to the back. This was a damn fun match with Hayes really working hard here and we get the Buddy headgear payoff and this is an easy nomination to me.
November 27, 200915 yr comment_5446065 Fun match that ends with Parsons wig-maring Roberts and pulling his headgear and wig off in the process, sending the heels scrambling to the back. Enjoyed this, but it didn't feel like a nomination to me.
