Some of the stuff looked good, but there was no build or sense of connection between one moment and another. Choshu/Khan vs. Kabuki/Gordy - I was intrigued to see Choshu and Gordy, but they didn't match up a lot. The match featured a lot of Khan in peril, and I lost interest. Jumbo/Ishikawa vs. Road Warriors - This went weirdly long for a Warriors match. They just kept working over Ishikawa without putting him away. I'm still waiting for the first good Warriors match in All Japan. Kamala vs. Teryu - Intriguing match-up, but it featured too much clubbering and choking from Kamala without sufficient reprisal from Tenryu. I did enjoy Kamala's face-first bump to the floor off of the enzuigiri. 11/23/85 Choshu/Yatsu vs. Kimura/Hara - Some good violence here but the match ended in unsatisfying chaos. Hansen/Dibiase vs. Bulldogs - I enjoyed Dynamite trading stiff shots with Hansen and bumping around for his offense. I never got the sense that the Bulldogs could win, so it was more a fun 10 minutes than something for the set. Jumbo/Tenryu vs. Curt Hennig/Bockwinkel - They produced some good looking exchanges, and I was surprised at the stiff shots throw by Henning and Bockwinkel. But it was another match that never took form or built to any moment you'd remember.
