Posted December 18, 200915 yr comment_5446501 Previous Race/Choshu confrontations bored me, but they really got after each other here. Riki blasted Harley in the face the first time he tagged in, and the match ended with them killing each other (and the ref) with a chair. I've enjoyed Barr. He worked some slick little mat exchanges, and both he and Race made the natives look good with their bumping. The messy finish might keep this off the set, but it's at least worth a look from the whole panel. Ginnetty 1985 TV Disc 27
September 17, 201015 yr comment_5455820 Choshu/Yatsu vs. Race/Barr, 12/7/85 - I like the natives working on Barr’s leg early and often. Good stuff. Barr rolling through the chancery and the leg holds is pretty cool. Weird how Harley is giving so much to the natives but not acting like the dominant partner for his team. I was also surprised how much I enjoyed the stuff on the mat instead of reaching for the fast forward button. Man, the battle for the Scorpion was cool but the cheap finish with the chair was not. Mixed feelings on moving this forward. I’ll put it in the low-level nomination for now.
October 2, 201014 yr comment_5456511 Real World Tag League: Riki Choshu & Yoshiaki Yatsu vs. Jesse Barr & "Mr. Puroresu" Harley Race (12/7/85) Fans were pumped for Choshu/Race here. This was a really solid match with both teams looking very equal here other than Choshu who was the alpha dog here but Race who you would think would've had more didn't and got maybe just a tad more than Barr did. The back and forth led to a nice stretch run where Race brought in a chair and ate a lariat then the chair would come into use for the DQ. The work here was fine but I'm not so sure on a nomination.
