American Tag Titles: The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) © vs. The Pretty Young Things (Norvell Austin & Koko Ware) (11/22/84)

PYT’s are on their way out to Florida so it’s jobbin time. There was some real sloppy stuff to start the match but it would settle back to normal after the PYT’s get sent to the floor and the Fants would start their control section as they came back in the ring. Rogers would look great and ate a fucking stiff shoulderblock by Norvell before getting back up and taking the fight back to him. Fulton would come in though and although he was fine it seemed like there was quite a bit of miscommunication going on between him & both PYT’s throughout the match but he does throw some great punches. Rogers would play FIP of course and the PYT’s would really put him through it as the crowd goes nuts. PYT’s use lots of double-team moves in the corner and Rogers is like a pinball here but he would fight out of a hole slipping through Norvell’s legs to get the hot tag to Fulton. Fulton would get the pin on Norvell after he accidentally hit Koko with a diving axehandle off the top rope and the Fants retained their titles. This was great fun and an easy nomination.
