Tabe needs this for his Flair-Garvin comp and I would guess we need it too if the stuff's not easily available (We REALLY need someone to sort through the TBS era JCP better to figure out what we need):

TAPE #A1206: NWA WRESTLING FROM 1985 - 1986

TAPE A1216: NWA WRESTLING FROM AUGUST - OCTOBER 1987

This has stuff from CWF and Southern Pro so it's probably something we should get:

TAPE A1215: NWA WRESTLING FROM SUMMER 1987

These are my wants off the big list..notable matches listed, if someone has these already then let me know and I can get them from that source:

TAPE #A1009: WWWF WRESTLING from 1977 - 1979:

LARRY ZYBYSKO & TONY GAREA v BARON MIKEL SCICLUNA & JOHNNY RODZ from 1977

What's notable about this match?

TAPE #A1300: AWA WRESTLING FROM CHICAGO, 1971 - 1973:

VERNE GAGNE v BLACKJACK MULLIGAN from March 1973.

BOBBY HEENAN v REGGIE PARKS from June 1973.

BARON VON RASHKE v BULL BULLINSKI from June 1973.

NICK BOCKWINKEL & RAY STEVENS v WAHOO McDANIEL & THE BRUISER from June 1973.

**Hoping for an upgrade on the first match. the others I’m not so sure I have, especially Heenan vs. Parks.

Heenan-Parks is definitely intriguing.

TAPE #A1353: GEORGIA WRESTLING FROM 1980 - 1981:

CHIEF JAY STRONGBOW SQUASH- Ernie Ladd attacks Jay after the match, but Strongbow puts him out with his famous sleeper hold. Strongbow tries several times to awaken Ladd, but Ernie is playing possum, and clocks Strongbow with his shoe. Ladd then traps Jay in the ropes, tears Jay's "sacred Indian headdress" to shreds, and crams the feathers into Strongbow's mouth!

JACK BRISCO v MONGOLIAN STOMPER, jip- Stomper pins Jack to win the National title.

TWO RING BATTLE ROYAL, jip- Dibiase and Fuller win & the Freebirds attack Plowboy Frazier.

TONY ATLAS v MONGOLIAN STOMPER- Andre The Giant attacks The Stomper because he has the nerve to bill himself as the "Eighth Wonder of the World". Ooooh, what an issue to fight over.

KEVIN SULLIVAN v STEVE O in THREE different matches for the TV title, all very good.

**No idea how much of this is available or available in decent quality.

Already have at least some of the GCW from Lynch in pretty decent VQ.

TAPE #A1480: A TRIBUTE TO DORY FUNK JR:

DORY FUNK JR v GENE KINISKI from February 11, 1969 in Tampa, FL. I'm pretty sure this is the entire match, taken from silent 8mm footage.

**If this is more than the 4 minutes that is available, it’s a must-have for me. I’m wondering if he’s wrong about how much footage is there, however

Probably from TAPE #A1546 which says it's 4 min.

TAPE #A1509: WRESTLING FROM 1980 - 1985

DUSTY RHODES v MR. PANHANDLE, from Georgia, 1980- truly a classic. Rhodes is doing well until Panhandle throws a wicked forearm...and there's only one guy who can wallop a guy with a forearm like that- Dory Funk Jr! Gordon and the fans go nuts when they realize it's Funk under the mask.

DICK SLATER v KILLER KARL KOX from Knoxville, 1980. About four minutes are shown of a total brawl.

JACK BRISCO v AUSTIN IDOL from an outdoor show in Mobile, Alabama in 1980. Idol scores the upset in a 20 minute match.

DUTCH MANTELL v TROY T. TYLER from Knoxville, 1980. Good match wher Tyler wins the Southeast TV title.

DUTCH MANTELL v DON DIAMOND from Knoxville, 1980. Dutch and The Matador injure Troy T. Tyler before the rematch for the TV title, so Diamond defends the belt in his place.

BRUISER BRODY v TED DIBIASE from Kansas City, 1983. About five minutes are shown of what I would consider a dream match, and we actually get to see the finish

This looks really good, definitely adding to my wants. Brisco-Idol sounds really interesting.

TAPE #A1512: MATCHES FROM 1981:

COVERAGE OF VERNE GAGNE's RETIREMENT MATCH v Nick Bockwinkel- THE AWA RUNS AN ANGLE as Shiek Adnan El Kaissie's bellydancer flirts with Tito Santana, so Shiek knocks the girl down and bloodies Tito with his sword

SOME GREAT FOOTAGE OF BRUISER BRODY, wrestling and interviewing in Georgia.

KEN PATERA v TOMMY RICH, jip from Atlanta- Patera wins the Georgia Title.

NICK BOCKWINKEL v SHIEK ADNAN EL-KAISSIE, jip from St. Paul

NICK BOCKWINKEL v SHIEK ADNAN EL-KAISSIE- Nick is reduced to a bloody mess

**An upgrade, if this is, would be great. I have this tape which I think I got from charles Warburton..no idea who would have the better copy, though. Awesome tape, I can say that.

Dunno if it would be an upgrade as it's listed as fair to VG.

TAPE #A1516: WRESTLING FROM 1982 & 1983

BRUISER BRODY v TERRY GORDY from Ft. Worth. As good as you'd think!

DYNAMITE KID & BUDDY ROSE v BILLY JACK HAYNES & CURT HENNIG from Portland, 1983. Good match, the heels turn on Buddy Rose afterward.

BUTCH REED v MAGNUM T.A. from Louisiana, 1983. Good match featuring Magnum when he was a rising star.

HIGHLIGHTS of the 1983 tournament from Mid-South's North American title.

BRUISER BRODY v KAMALA from Ft. Worth, 1983. A wild brawl!

This is one of those tapes that I've had in storage forever and shouldn't have. 4 hours, the picture quality is good / fair, very watchable but likely a 3rd generation copy.

Should have most of this, need to check Ft Worth listings for those matches.

TAPE #A1522: MATCHES FROM 1983 - 1988:

TERRY GORDY v BLACK BART from Oklahoma City, 7/11/87- I remember that when this match aired, some called it the bloodiest match of all time, and no one could beleive it made TV! Bart is a digusting mess here. 3 1/2 ***.

TED DIBIASE v TITO SANTANA from Houston, 1983. Bill Watts does commentary, as uses this match as a soundboard to go off on the WWF. This match was about 2 years old when it aired, but Watts uses it as "proof that the WWF's Intercontinental champ is no match for Dibiase". Huh? In an all action, back and forth match, Dibiase uses the loaded glove to get the pin. 4 ***.

KERRY VON ERICH & DORY FUNK JR v GREG GAGNE & JIM BRUNZELL, from Japan, 1983. 3 ***.

BRUISER BRODY v RICK RUDE, jip from Ft. Worth, 1986. Good match.

MS/UWF matches are available I think. Kerry/Dory vs High Flyers sounds new. Same for Ft. Worth as last tape.

TAPE #A1525: MATCHES FROM 1984:

EDDIE GILBERT & TOMMY RICH v KOKO WARE & NORVELL AUSTIN from Nashville, TN, 1984. Great brawl, everyone puts out. This is a total bloodbath, 4 ***

EDDIE GILBERT & TOMMY RICH v KOKO WARE & NORVELL AUSTIN from Memphis, 1984- an all-time great, classic brawl- unbelievable as they fight to the top of the Mid-South Coliseum and back down again- A MUST SEE, 5 *** riot!!

JERRY LAWLER v KING KONG BUNDY from Memphis, 1984.

TITO SANTANA v BOB ORTON JR from St. Louis, 1984. Good match, 3 ***

If the Nashville match is complete this is a must. Tito-Orton sounds good, too, and Lawler-Bundy in a match that's not the one everybody has would be great. Is the Flair-Garvin from CWG in '84 something already available? Probably worth a look.

TAPE #A1554: FLORIDA WRESTLING from 1978 - 1980:

STEVE KEIRN & JIM GARVIN v BILL & SCOTT IRWIN from 1979.

JOE LeDUC v GENICHIRO TENRYU from 1979- Tenryu is billed as a sumo wrestler.

GORDON SOLIE ATTACKED! Sir Oliver Humperdink goes nuts and roughs up the legendary Solie! (1980)

MANNY FERNANDEZ v KILLER KHAN from 1979.

2 hours, picture is generally excellent.

I think his 2 hour Florida tapes are all remixed Macchia comps. Ditto GCW and maybe WWF from that period.

TAPE #A1573: WWF MATCHES FROM 1978

BOB BACKLUND v SPIROS ARION jip from New York, June 1978.

**I didn’t think anything existed between Backlund and Arion outside of their Philly match which aired on 24/7 last year.

Yeah I've never seen much Arion stuff floating around. Is this on any of the Macchia comps?

TAPE # A1645: Matches from 1920 - 1967:

LOU THESZ v GENE KINISKI, 8mm film from 1967. Kiniski defends the NWA title.

Intriguing depending on how long it is.

TAPE # A1695: NWA WRESTLING FROM PHILADELPHIA, 1988 - 1989:

**Some extremely rare footage shot with a camcorder from the audience.

Ric Flair v Ricky Steamboat- 4 1/2 ***.

The video quality of this tape would be very good if not for some on and off interference, tracking faults, and audio dips. Still good video. 2 hours.

**best, probably only chance to upgrade this, I think.

I dunno, haven't we heard from people who had it direct from RF who had all of the problems we did?

TAPE #A2034: MATCHES FROM 1982:

Adrian Adonis & Jesse Ventura v George Gadaski & Kenny Jay, from the AWA.

Ken Patera & Bobby Duncum v Tito Santana & Buck Zumhoff, from the AWA.

Nick Bockwinkel v Shiek Adnan Al-Kaissie, clips from the AWA.

Nick Bockwinkel v Dick The Bruiser, from St. Louis

Shiek Ali Hassan & Shiek Abdullah v Wilbur Snyder & Steve Regal, from Kansas City.

Jimmy Snuka v Paul Jones, from Topeka, KS.

Baron Von Rashke v Blackjack Lanza, from the AWA.

Hogan/Gagne/Brunzell v Patera/Ventura/Heenan, from the AWA.

**The Adonis-Ventura vs. Jay/Gadaski match would be huge for me if it’s an upgrade. Lanza-Raschke from the AWA I don’t recall ever seeing. Snuka vs. Jones from Topeka? Bock vs. Bruiser from St. Louis? If those locations are right, those are new for me.

Yeah that stuff from Kansas and Missouri is interesting. Do you have that 6-man match? Tape looks worth a pickup.

TAPE #A1300: AWA WRESTLING FROM CHICAGO, 1971 - 1973:

BOBBY HEENAN v REGGIE PARKS from June 1973.

BARON VON RASHKE v BULL BULLINSKI from June 1973.

EDDIE GILBERT & TOMMY RICH v KOKO WARE & NORVELL AUSTIN from Nashville, TN, 1984. Great brawl, everyone puts out. This is a total bloodbath, 4 ***

Ditto GCW and maybe WWF from that period.--Ok, scratch them. I hadn't seen the Irwins match listed before but if it's on a Macchia comp I can explore those lists for it.

Is this on any of the Macchia comps?--I don't recall seeing it.

TAPE # A1645: Matches from 1920 - 1967:

--I "think" i have that 6-man, but for some reason it isn't ringing a bell, so maybe not. Upgrade of Titp-Buck vs. Patera/Duncum would be huge for me, and as stated, Raschke-Lanza from the AWA is new to me.

***

so, my new want list based on the above would be as follows:

TAPE #A1300: AWA WRESTLING FROM CHICAGO, 1971 - 1973

TAPE #A1509: WRESTLING FROM 1980 - 1985

TAPE #A1525: MATCHES FROM 1984

TAPE #A1573: WWF MATCHES FROM 1978

TAPE #A2034: MATCHES FROM 1982

Bix, add these to the first order and then e-mail me how much $$$ I owe you. I can paypal it your way as soon as you give me a number.

Willing to help out on the initial purchase as needed as well, if there's stuff you want to get (the initial short list you posted?) right away while sorting out the participants/costs/etc. Again, just PM or e-mail me a number and we'll go from there.

Blanks/postage/etc. can always be figured out later and billed out seperately.

Looking over the Ft. Worth tapes, the Brody matches are on there so we should be good.

Musts list updated.

$ wise I figure for now we know that in for sure are me/Will/Tim/Kevin/Tabe/Brent so with the total for updated "musts" at $115, divided by 6 that's $19.17 each for starters. With PayPal fees that's $20.03 (might as well be exact!). So even adding on disc and shipping costs (which will be handled by Will), we're going to get some really awesome rare stuff for a good price.

Breaking down the $ total for territory runs (Price is for an individual order, subtract $5 if added to another order going by his pricing):

WCCW Ft. Worth $140

Memphis $115

JCP pre-TBS $55

Alabama (4 tapes so $20 added to an order or $30 for them plus another tape)

Florida pre-'87 $70

Mid-South ($15 added to order)

Southwest (If we get it all) $55

TAPE # A1777: MATCHES FROM THE 1970'S (Race-Dusty NWA Title switches, Hogan-Stomper, Race-Stubbs, TBolt-Jerry Graham, Hogan-Bullet Bob, DiBiase-Valentine, more)

These lists are from my own files...They are McAdam's lists as I remember, possibly a bit edited. I picked these up in or around 2002-2003 from him:

A1777 70's

HARLEY RACE (NWA World Champion) v DUSTY RHODES (Rare footage from Dusty's one-week reign in 1979 as NWA champ.)

DUSTY RHODES (NWA World Champion) vs. HARLEY RACE, clips from 1979. Terry Funk attacks NWA champ Rhodes before the match and breaks his arm. That's not enough of an excuse for Rhodes to drop the belt- the title can change hands on a DQ, and Dusty inadvertently backdrops Race over the top rope.

JOS LEDUC /DUSTY RHODES CONFRONTATION

HULK HOGAN v MONGOLIAN STOMPER jip from Memphis, 1978. This is one of Hogan's earliest matches, wrestling as Sterling Golden.

HARLEY RACE (NWA World Champion) v JERRY STUBBS.

TERRY FUNK v MIKE GRAHAM (Florida, 1975)

HARLEY RACE (NWA World Champion) v GARY YOUNG (Mid-Atlantic TV, 1978.)

THUNDERBOLT PATTERSON v DR. JERRY GRAHAM (Toronto, 1977.)

HULK HOGAN v BOB ARMSTRONG (jip Knoxville, 1979.) Hogan gets pinned and loses the Southeast title!

BUZZ SAWYER & JERRY ROBERTS (Jaques Rougeau) v THE ANGEL (Frank Morrell) & MIKE BARBER (Knoxville, 1979.)

GREG VALENTINE v TED DIBIASE (Atlantic City, 1979.)

PAT PATTERSON v JOS LEDUC (Florida, 1977.)

DUSTY RHODES & ERNIE LADD v IVAN KOLOFF & BUDDY WOLFF (Florida, 1977.)

JIMMY SNUKA & PAUL ORNDORFF v GENE ANDERSON & SGT. JAQUES GOULET jip (Carolinas, 1979. 8mm no sound.)

PAUL ORNDORFF v GENE ANDERSON jip (Carolinas, 1979. ) 8mm no sound.

RIC FLAIR v CHRIS TAYLOR jip (Minneapolis, 1974.)

BRUNO SAMMARTINO v GREG VALENTINE (New York, 1979.)

DUSTY RHODES & DICK MURDOCH v BRUISER & CRUSHER (Chicago, 1973.)

EDDIE GRAHAM v KILLER KHAN jip (Florida, 1979

RAY STEVENS & MIKE GRAHAM v SCOTT IRWIN & THE TERROR (Florida, 1979. )

SWEET BROWN SUGAR v WILD BILL IRWIN (Florida, 1979. )

I'd ask Will his opinion on the Race-Rhodes stuff to se if he thinks a quality upgrade is worth it on this one as I sent him a dub directly from the tape of the Race-Rhodes stuff for his Funk comp.. As noted, my dub is right from McAdam, so it might not be a huge upgrade or anything.

We can sub in that Florida 66-79 stuff or something like that instead if necessary. If it stays in, no issues from me.

A1779 70's stuff is the same, right from McAdam:

HARLEY RACE (NWA World Champion) v RICK MARTEL (Australia, 1977.) HARLEY RACE (NWA World Champion) v DUSTY RHODES (Florida, 1977.) HARLEY RACE (NWA World Champion)v JIM GARVIN (Florida, 1978.)

TERRY FUNK v J.J. DILLON, clips (Atlanta, 1974.)

TERRY FUNK v BOB ROOP, clips (Florida, 1976.)

NIKOLAI VOLKOFF v STEVE KEIRN, clips (Russian Chain Match 1976.)

ROCKY JOHNSON & JIMMY VALIANT v DAVID SCHULTZ & DENNIS CONDREY (Memphis, 1978.)

ANDRE THE GIANT v OX BAKER clips (Chicago, 1975. 8mm film.)

JIMMY VALIANT v CHRIS TAYLOR clips (Chicago, 1975. 8mm film.)

MIL MASCARAS v BULL JOHNSON (New Jersey, 1975.)

BILLY ROBINSON & WILBUR SNYDER v JIMMY & JOHNNY VALIANT,( 8mm clips Chicago, 1975.)

DICK SLATER v ROCKY JOHNSON jip (Florida, 1978.)

JIMMY VALIANT v KEN WAYNE (Memphis, 1979.)

JERRY LAWLER v PROF. TORU TANAKA (Memphis, 1978.)

BILL DUNDEE v DICK SLATER clips (Memphis, 1978.)

LOU THESZ v BUZZ SAWYER (Memphis, 1978.) Excellent scientific contest

TERRY FUNK v MARK LEWIN (Detroit, 1978.)

BRUNO SAMMARTINO v HANS SCHMIDT

BRUNO SAMMARTINO v OTTO VON HELLER (1975.)

GREG VALENTINE & JIMMY VALIANT v RON RITCHIE & DON KERNODLE (Mid-Atlantic TV, 1978.)

Will is again the one to check with regarding if an upgrade on the Dillon-Funk clips is necessary, as I sent him a copy of that bout for his Funk set.
