With Loss and Bustierra in, plus maybe others now that we know John's good for it (and yes, I'm hard at work converting, shouldn't be much longer), should we get shoot for more than just JCP, Memphis, and that tape for the next deal? Maybe some or even all of the Ft Worth?

I'm in for whatever tapes are next wanted.

Are you going to send me any discs this week? I have the entire week off and I can get a head start on making copies if you send. I'll have less time as more sets are released and we prepare to release TX so I would like to get a jump on things.

Yup, I'll send out what I have done so far in the next day or so.

These are the tapes and matches that stood out to me. If any of this stuff is available elsewhere, disregard.

TAPE # A1843: MATCHES FROM THE 1990's

DESERT DEATH MATCH- CACTUS JACK v SABU- Basically a pinfalls count anywhere from Nevada. NWC. Great Brawl!! 4 1/2 ***- They go into the casino and brawl!!

INTERVIEW- CACTUS JACK

CAGE MATCH- CACTUS JACK v SABU- Weapons are also placed in the ring. 4 *** match. Another great brawl!

BRANDING MATCH- TERRY FUNK v VIRGIL- Funk knocks the crap out of one of the announcers and takes Virgil all over the building! Funk is NUTS in this match fighting fans, etc. etc. Funk decides to brand the ref after the match, and then JYD makes an appearance. 3 1/2 ***- the best match in Mike Jones' life.†

TAPE # A1850: MATCHES FROM 1992 - 1993

SABU v CHRIS CANDIDO- raw footage from Clementon, New Jersey, 1/15/93- 3 1/2 ***.†

1-2-3 KID v BILL WILCOX, raw footage from Clementon, New Jersey, 11/92- scary moment as Kid lands on his head outside the ring, and is legit knocked unconcious.†

CHRIS CANDIDO v RAY ODYSSEY, raw footage from Clementon, New Jersey, 11/92.

TAPE # A1854: MATCHES FROM 1992 - 1994

TERRY FUNK v SABU, raw footage from Lima, OH, 5/3/94- terrific match, 3 3/4 ***

SABU v AL SNOW, raw footage from Michigan, 1/28/94- 4 **

TAPE # A1858: MATCHES FROM 1993 - 1994

TERRY FUNK v SABU from Steelton, PA, 11/6/93. Both take crazy, suicidal bumps, and Sabu is at his most spectacular. 4 ***.

TERRY FUNK v SABU, raw footage from New York, 2/28/94- AWESOME MATCH. Would have been a Match of the Year candidate, but not enough people saw it. 5 ***!!

TERRY FUNK v SABU from Philly, 12/26/93. 4 ***.

TAPE # A1859: MATCHES FROM 1993 - 1994

ROAD WARRIOR HAWK v EDDIE GILBERT from Minneapolis, 7/10/93. Both guys are at their best here, and Gilbert does a great post-match interview. 3 1/2 ***.

CAGE MATCH: SABU v CHRIS CANDIDO from Bensalem, PA, 10/30/93. 4 ***.

BRIAN CHRISTOPHER v CHRIS CANDIDO from Minneapolis, 7/10/93. 3 1/2 ***.

SABU v JERRY LYNN (WCWs Mr JL) from Minneapolis, 7/10/93. 3 3/4 ***.

TAPE # A1862: MATCHES FROM 1993 - 1994

TERRY FUNK v SHANE DOUGLAS from Philly, 1/94. About 30 mins shown, 4 1/4 ***.

TAPE # A1863: MATCHES FROM 1993 - 1994

TERRY FUNK & STAN HANSEN v ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER & KEVIN SULLIVAN, RF from Philly, 9/23/93. A wild brawl that goes all over the building, and even up a scaffold erected for an earlier match! Eddie Gilbert interferes, then gets weird by getting on the house mic and announcing he's leaving ECW. He then starts auctioning off his wrestling gear! 3 3/4 ***.

CHRIS CANDIDO v TIM HORNER, RF from Morristown, TN, 8/13/93. 3 1/2 ***.

ROCK & ROLL EXPRESS v BRUISE BROTHERS, RF from Morristown, 8/13/93. 3 1/4 ***.

TRACY SMOTHERS v BRIAN LEE, RF from Morristown, TN, 8/13/93. 3 1/2 ***.

HEAVENLY BODIES & JIM CORNETTE v BOB, SCOTT & STEVE ARMSTRONG, RF from Morristown, TN, 8/13/93. Great brawl, with Bruise Bros and Rock & Rolls involved. 4 ***.

TAPE # A1866: MATCHES FROM 1993 - 1994

MARATHON MATCH: HEAVENLY BODIES v ROCK & ROLL EXPRESS from Knoxville, 3/13/94. 4 ***.

CLIPS FROM THE SMW FAN WEEK BBQ, highlighted by Jimmy Del Ray setting a fan's hat on fire- WHILE HE WAS WEARING IT!! Trust me, the fan deserved it.

SABU v CHRIS BENOIT from New Jersey, 2/19/94. 4 1/4 ***.

TAPE # A1867: MATCHES FROM 1993 - 1994

SABU v CHRIS BENOIT, raw footage from Lincoln Park, MI, 8/5/94- excellent match, but it's hurt by a small, completely dead crowd. 4 1/4 ***

BRET HART v JERRY LAWLER, raw footage of a Cage Match from Indianapolis, 11/5/93.

SHAWN MICHAELS v MARTY JANNETTY, raw footage from San Francisco, CA, 12/11/93- great match, 4 ***

VADER v STING, raw footage from Salinas, KS, 4/8/93.

6-MAN ELIMINATION TAG: Cactus Jack, Ricky Steamboat & Shane Douglas v Brian Pillman, Steve Austin & Paul Orndorff, raw footage from Salinas, KS, 4/8/93.

TAPE # A1868: MATCHES FROM 1993 - 1994

LADDER MATCH: SABU v CHRIS CANDIDO from San Jose, 6/19/94- great match. The ladder breaks early in the bout, which only adds to the excitement, giving Sabu the opportunity to take new, crazier bumps. Sabu tries to break a table, with one problem- THE TABLE WON'T BREAK! He tries to break it five times, but keeps bouncing off it- THIS IS BRUTAL!! Sabu gives J.R. Benson a chair shot to the head, smacking him so hard he has to go to the Emergency Room. 4 1/2***.

TAPE # A1869: MATCHES FROM 1994

HEAVENLY BODIES v ROCK & ROLL EXPRESS, RF, Morristown, TN, 2/5/94- 3 3/4 ***.

LADDER MATCH: CHRIS CANDIDO v TRACY SMOTHERS, RF from Knoxville, TN, 3/13/94. Excellent match, and Tom Prichard does some commentary. 4 ***.

BOB ARMSTRONG v DICK MURDOCH, RF from Knoxville, 3/13/94. Pretty good match considering both guys are over 50.

TAPE # A1870: MATCHES FROM 1994

HULK HOGAN v RIC FLAIR, RF from Anaheim, CA, 10/16/94. I'm never surprised when Flair gets cheers, regardless of who he's wrestling (and he deserves them!). But I'm shocked to see Hogan gets BOOED here!! He does his ear-cupping routine, and the boos drown out the cheers!

HULK HOGAN v RIC FLAIR, RF from Oakland, CA, 10/15/94. SAme as above, except THE BOOS FOR HOGAN ARE EVEN LOUDER!! Both matches are good, all thanks to Flair.

TERRY FUNK v TITO SANTANA, RF from Las Vegas, 10/8/94- Funk is great here, pounding Santana with chairs, trashcans, etc. The legendary Funk gets pinned, which makes me wonder about whoever booked this match.†

BILL WILCOX AND FREIGHT TRAIN FULTON do an interview, which turns into a brawl. They trash each other with chairs and trashcans, then Wilcox does a flip onto Fulton- FROM THE TOP OF A ROOF!! THIS IS INCREDIBLE!! Wilcox then tries to drown Fulton in a lake. Fulton escapes, and piledrives Bill THROUGH A WOODEN PICNIC TABLE!! All of this takes place in a state park, with all of the families and picnicers not knowing what to make of this. If there was justice in this world, Wilcox and Fulton would be big stars. A MUST-SEE!!!

LADDER MATCH: TRACY SMOTHERS v CHRIS CANDIDO, from Pikeville, KY, 4/1/94. A sensational, 4 1/2 *** match, with some incredible spots and bumps.

TAPE # A1871: MATCHES FROM 1994

NO DQ, FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE: CACTUS JACK v SABU- there's actually "silent heat" as the crowd sits in awe of the brutality. Sabu pounds Jack with SEVEN HARD SHOTS TO THE HEAD WITH A NON-GIMMICKED BEER BOTTLE, until the glass finally shatters. Sabu takes one of the craziest bumps ever, landing chest-first on the guard rail after messing up a moonsault. Get ready to do lots of cringing when watching this violent spectacle.Excelent match!!

SABU v AL SNOW from Flint, MI, 4/8/94. 4 ***.

TERRY FUNK v ROAD WARRIOR HAWK from Flint, MI, 4/8/94- 3 3/4 ***.

SABU v CACTUS JACK from Philadelphia, 6/24/94. Both come in with injuries, but fight through them for a 4 *** match.

TAPE # A1872: MATCHES FROM 1994

TERRY FUNK v SABU from Taylor, MI, 4/9/94. 3 3/4 ***.

LADDER MATCH: CHRIS CANDIDO v TRACY SMOTHERS from Paintsville, KY, 3/10/94. Fair picture, but a 4 *** match.

HEAVENLY BODIES v ROCK & ROLL EXPRESS from Paintsville, KY, 3/10/94. Fair picture, but a 4 *** match.

A TERRY FUNK "SHOOT" INTERVIEW from 1994.†

NO DQ: MICKEY DOYLE v THE DEATH DEALER, from Lincoln Park, MI, 5/15/94. I've never heard of them either, but it's a wild, 4 *** match.

TEXAS DEATH MATCH: TERRY FUNK v SABU from Lincoln Park, MI, 5/15/94. 4 1/4 ***.

LADDER MATCH: CHRIS CANDIDO v TRACY SMOTHERS from Johnson City, TN, 3/12/94. 3 3/4 ***.

TAPE # A1873: MATCHES FROM 1994

**All matches are camcorder footage.

TERRY FUNK v CHRIS BENOIT from Woodbury, NJ, 4/23/94. 3 1/4 ***.

LADDER MATCH: SABU v AL SNOW from Lincoln Park, MI, 7/23/94. GREAT MATCH, 4 1/2 ***.

SABU v 2-COLD SCORPIO from Munhall, PA, 9/17/94- 3 1/2 ***.

MARATHON MATCH: HEAVENLY BODIES v ROCK & ROLL EXPRESS from Johnson City, TN, 3/12/94. 4 1/4 ***.†

CHRIS CANDIDO v TRACY SMOTHERS from Morristown, TN, 1/8/94- fair picture

HEAVENLY BODIES v ROCK & ROLL EXPRESS from Morristown, TN, 1/8/94- fair picture, but 4 ***.†

STREETFIGHT: BRIAN LEE v DIRTY WHITE BOY from Morristown, TN, 1/8/94- fair picture, 3 1/2 ***.†

HEAVENLY BODIES v ROCK & ROLL EXPRESS from Morristown, TN, 2/5/94- fair picture, 3 3/4 ***.†

TAPE # A1875: MATCHES FROM 1994 - 1995

CHRIS BENOIT v 2-COLD SCORPIO from Fullerton, CA, 11/9/94- good match, kinda short. 3 1/2 ***.

SABU v AL SNOW from La Puente, CA, 9/11/94- If I ever put together a tape of the best matches nobody has ever seen, this would be one of the first bouts on it. Sabu does his usual insane spots, and Snow is his ususal great self. All hell really breaks loose when the legendary TERRY FUNK appears out of nowhere, and starts beating the crap out of both Sabu and Snow! What proceeds is a wild, insane 3-man brawl that is a "must see" for video collectors! The arena looks like a tornado has swept through it, and the brawl goes into the parking lot, all captured on film. 4 3/4 ***.†

MEMPHIS MEMORIES- some really cool, historic clips and footage from the USWA "Legends" card, including the Memphis Hall of Fame induction.†

CAGE MATCH: JERRY LAWLER, BRIAN CHRISTOPHER, JIMMY VALIANT v TOMMY RICH, EDDIE GILBERT & DOUG GILBERT, jip from Nashville, 1994. Christopher and Valiant get handcuffed to the cage, and Lawler takes a beating.†

KOKO WARE v WOLFIE D from Memphis, 1994. I predict that Wolfie will be a star in this biz- good gimmick and wrestler.

BEST OF MEMPHIS 10-MAN ELIMINATION MATCH: Jerry Lawler v Terry Funk v Brian Christopher v Eddie Gilbert v Tommy Rich v Austin Idol v Doug Gilbert v Koko Ware v Jimmy Valiant v Moondog Spot, from Memphis, 3/7/94. The rules are, 2 men wrestle while everyone else is on the apron, and anyone can tag anyone. It's an excellent match, with great wrestling, tons of heat, and excellent booking. 4 ***.

TAPE # A1879: MATCHES FROM 1995 - 1997:†

SABU v DEVON STORM from Woodbury, NJ, 10/28/95. Excellent match, same as the one on #E119, but better video quality. This was an unbeleiveable match that was listed in the Observer as one of 1995's best- even though it was not televised, and wrestled on a small, independent show. 4 1/2 ***.

EDDIE AND DOUG GILBERT do a "shoot" in Japan's W*ING. They pull off their masks before the match, Doug grabs the mic, and starts calling the promoter a piece of sh**. They then pleadge allegiance to All Japan, apparently not knowing that the Japanese, especially Baba, frowns on that sort of thing...

FOOTAGE FROM PHILADELPHIA FAN LUNCHEONS from 1987 - 1988, featuring semi-shoot interviews with Missy Hyatt, Jerry Lawler, and Curt Hennig. Lawler calls Vince McMahon "the worst thing that's ever happened to wrestling". (!!)

The Ft Worth is gonna be handled separately, independent of our bulks, to expedite the TX set. Right now I'm talking to Loss and going over more stuff. I dunno if he mentioned it to you yet but I know Will wants you to see if there's any more AWA on the list that might be needed.

Loss and I are going over it a little but one thing we really need to do is see what JCP from the TBS era (and to a lesser extent early WCW) we might need since there are shows that aren't well covered at different times.
