Posted February 1, 201015 yr comment_5447509 Solomon Grundy vs. Brian Adias (2/12/88) Everyone still hates Adias and he attacks Grundy at the bell as he tries to enter the ring. Terry Taylor does color commentary for this match making his debut in World Class. Grundy would soon catch Adias in the running lights and splashed him for the win. Adias is now buried. Steve Simpson vs. Bob Owens (2/12/88) Man they dug up former TBS jobber Bob Owens in 1988 to job for Simpson. Owens gets more offense in here than he did in like 3 years of TBS. Michael Hayes makes his return to World Class to talk about his upcoming concert before The Freebirds show up and Hayes says he wants no part of the Angel of Death or wrestling in general right now. Extra material. "Flamboyant" Eric Embry vs. Jeff Raitz (2/12/88) Nothing special here but Raitz shows some fire. Embry is fine and gets a backslide to get the win. Next is a promo by The Fantastics about Tatum & Victory. Badstreet Match: The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy & Buddy Roberts) vs. Kerry & Kevin Von Erich (2/12/88) This was what you would expect from this type of match and these four men as it was just a fucking brawl with all four men just pounding on each other. This had some great action with some great spots both in and out of the ring and Marc Lowrance going nuts on the PBP as Kerry gives out piledrivers to both Birds. Parsons shows up so Adams comes out to counter him with a steel chair so they bring their brawl to the ring as Rick Hazzard calls for the bell with this match ending in a no contest. Fucking great stuff and a slam dunk nomination.
June 7, 201015 yr comment_5451720 Solomon Grundy vs. Brian Adias (2/12/88) Adias dominates early before Grundy turns the tables and quite literally squashes him for a quick win. Steve Simpson vs. Bob Owens (2/12/88) Great competitive squash with a fired up Simpson and some fun heeling by perennial jobber Owens. "Flamboyant" Eric Embry vs. Jeff Raitz (2/12/88) Raitz dominates much of the match, and I've gotta say, he looked really good here. A more even match might have gotten this on the block, but no such luck.
