Posted February 11, 201015 yr comment_5447760 Awesome 24/7 discovery (Graham's site says it never showed up anywhere before). Great, great 20 minute brawl with a ridiculously hot crowd, Savage bleeding, and some great ringside brawling (including on and behind the ramp) on top of their usual very good to great match. By far the best boom period WWF brawl I've seen and the best non-Slaughter WWF '80s brawl that I've seen. Slam dunk nomination and a top 5 contender. Also, this is the first show Monsoon and Heenan did commentary on together.
June 18, 201114 yr comment_5473665 Top five contender for sure, and one of the better Savage career matches. Ringside brawling was pretty nuts with both guys landing hard on the concrete, and Tito countering a top rope axehandle with a chair shot. Savage bleeds a bunch here and it got super heated. Excellent discovery
June 18, 201114 yr comment_5473690 Yeah I mean to comment on this earlier. This might be the best Tito singles match I've ever seen. Brawling is off the charts and the atmosphere is great. The Maple Leaf setting is always fun for this as it had a unique set up so when the guys brawl up on the barricade or down the ramp it has a total "shit is getting out of hand" feel to it. It's definitely a top five level match
August 3, 201213 yr comment_5511833 Really fun match but I don't know if I like this as much as the best Tito-Greg stuff I have watched. The other NO DQ matches I have watched were a little more violent but this was stll excellent stuff. Savage tried ten different ways to do the axe handle and Tito was on fire. Savage getting busted open really gives it bonus points. I don't think this will hit my Top 5 but definitely upper-echelon. EASY NOMINATION
September 27, 201411 yr comment_5629008 This was tremendous and a match that will make a lot of top 10's. Those stomps by Tito to the outside was so vicious looking. Might be some of the grittiest ones I've ever seen. Minor quibble was Savage selling his knee like he was crippled after a missed knee drop, then a few seconds later nothing. I think he over sold it.
May 26May 26 comment_6030407 I'll echo everyone else and say this is an easy yes. They start off hot and the pace does not let up. Great brawling and use of the surrounding area and objects.
May 30May 30 comment_6030506 This has such an awesome atmosphere. The Maple Leaf Garden setting is wonderful to look at & Savage's grand entrance looks even better in this venue. Really great back & forth action. I love the energy & urgency both guys bring here. The momentum swings are outstanding with the highlight being Tito cutting Savage's crazy mid-match onslaught off with the chair to the ribs. The brawling on the rampway leads directly to the desperation fighting on the floor. Amazing double down with Savage getting a good gusher & Tito collapsing back inside the ring. The slugfest that follows is tremendous. I don't love ref bumps as a rule but I appreciate the commentary pointing out that it's No DQ so either way it doesn't matter. It's a decent set-up to get Tito a visual fall though. I did like Savage stealing the finish on the rollup counter with the tights & Heenan mentioning it's all fair game in a No DQ match. Overall, this is terrific with a really fun & exciting Toronto crowd. Both guys brought the hate & fight in spades. EASY NOMINATION
