Posted March 8, 201015 yr comment_5448305 Tennessee Stud comes out with Humongous to start this show saying that he would put up $2,500 against Austin Idol's $2,500 in a match. The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne) vs. Steve Miller & Don Sanders (3/23/85) Squash. Then we get clips of Nightmares vs. Armstrong/Rich from Dothan on 3/16/85. Bill Ash vs. Burrhead Jones (3/23/85) Squash. Ash then talks shit on Ted Oates after the match so Oates runs out and kicks his ass. Next is a promo with The Nightmares with Ron Fuller showing up saying that if they win the tag titles then he may ask them to join the Stable. Lord Humongous vs. Steve Brinson (3/23/85) Squash. Next is a personality profile featuring all the main feuds in the area. Porkchop Cash vs. The Super Star (3/23/85) This damn sure ain't Bill Eadie. The Stable then comes out after the match talking shit on the babyfaces before they show up to run them away. "Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol vs. Mr. Russia (Boris Zuhkov) (3/23/85) Russia attacks him at the bell before Idol can lock on the Las Vegas Leglock bringing out Humongous for the DQ of course and the dressing room clears. Extra material of course as they do these almost as good as Memphis. Idol would come out after the match and cut an awesome promo about destroying Humongous. Extra material. The next show starts with clips of the hot angle that ended the previous week's show and that there would be fines doled out which brought out the Stable who whined about that. Robert Fuller would come out and demanded that Mr. Russia face him the next week to take his mask and the Stud complied. The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne) vs. Dave Foxx & Burrhead Jones (3/30/85) Squash. Armstrong & Rich then come out after the match leading to a video featuring Steve Armstrong playing a guitar and shooting guns as Bocephus plays in the background. Boomer H. Lynch (Tom Lintz) vs. Al Scott (3/30/85) I always wondered why the AWA jobber Lintz got a big push here followed up by a video of the Stable rolling in Bob Armstrong's Cadillac that Lynch won from him. Bill Ash vs. Les Freeman (3/30/85) Freeman got a small push here and gives Ash a run but would fail in the end. This is followed by clips of the Oates/Ash brawl from last week. In the middle of house show promos we get one from Ric Flair regarding a match with Austin Idol which is him sitting in a dressing room ripping up Idol. Tis was great. $5,000 Tug of War: "Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol vs. Lord Humongous (3/30/85) This is your standard tug of war with a towel marking the line in the ring and the crowd is very hot for this. Idol starts winning of course so Humongous lets go of the rope forcing Idol to fall in the corner as Fuller steals the money. Golden & Porkchop would brawl on the floor as Idol takes the money back and the heels run off. This is a definite extra. "Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol & Porkchop Cash vs. Steve Brinson & Mr. Russia (Boris Zuhkov) (3/30/85) Idol subs for Ted Oates as he wants a piece of Mr. Russia. Brinson screams jobber here and he takes some punishment here. Russia goes for a chair but Bob Armstrong steals that as Idol wins with the Las Vegas Leglock. The next show starts with Ron Fuller bringing out the legendary Louie Tillet who will be his co-manager for the Stud Stable. The Rat Patrol (Steve Armstrong & Johnny Rich) vs. Randy barber & Richard Dunn (4/6/85) Rat Patrol coming out to Let's Go Crazy by Prince is great and they win easily. The Nightmares come out and say that they haven't stolen the Rat Patrol's belts. The Nightmare (Danny Davis) vs. Josh Stroud (4/6/85) Stud does commentary here and Nightmare is awesome here bumping around for Stroud even breaking out a fucking Jerry bump from the corner to the floor allowing the switch to Nightmare #2 who would get the win. Stable comes out in full force showing clips of Boomer T. Lynch destroying some goof then clips of the Tug of War from the previous week. Tillet then cuts quite the promo on Austin Idol before they leave. Next is a personality profile with Bob & Scott Armstrong going over Scott's feud with Bill Ash and Bob's feud with Boomer. Scott Armstrong vs. Roy George (4/6/85) George is quite the wimpy looking jobber. Ash comes out and Scott just beats his ass trying to break his hand like Ash did him but the Nightmares pull Ash out of the ring. Robert Fuller vs. Mr. Russia (4/6/85) Wow has Mr. Russia changed, he looks a lot like Boomer T. Lynch. There would be a double KO where the change was made and he destroys Fuller when the original Mr. Russia returns to put away Robert but Mr. Olympia makes his grand return to make the save beating up all the Stud Stable until the numbers game catches up to him before the other babyfaces show up to make the save as the crowd goes apeshit. Mr. Russia would get unmasked in the process although he was covered up and this is a definite extra. Funs tuff. The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne) vs. Tommy Crosby & Chris Jarvis (4/13/85) Nightmares show off their newly won tag belts before the match. Nightmares are awesome in their squashes in this territory. Wendell Cooley vs. Dave Foxx (4/13/85) Cooley is back home after working as Rick Casey for Southwest and looks good here. Next is a promo with the Stable & Louie Tillet. US Jr. Heavyweight Title: Bill Ash © vs. Scott Armstrong (4/13/85) Ash was pretty good here as the chickenshit heel stalling around finding shortcuts to keep Scott from getting the advantage. Scott shows some fire here keeping Ash on his toes before eating a big elbow running into the corner. Ash goes on offense which is not as good as his defense for sure but he would use his tape to choke out Scott on the top rope causing the DQ to be called. The Rat Patrol & Nightmares would then run out for a brawl. Mr. Russia (Boris Zuhkov) vs. Steve Brinson (4/13/85) Russia just beats the piss out of Brinson here. Olympia comes out and he narrates the clips of the Fuller/Russia brawl from last week. Porkchop Cash vs. The Super Star (4/13/85) Again this is not Bill Eadie and Chops must love squashing this guy. Tillet comes out talking shit on Idol so Idol comes out to throw him in the ring where Idol would get jumped by the Stable where they would fuck him up good even pouring out the garbage on him until Chops who was in the shower comes out with Idol's axehandle Minerva. Then we get an awesome angry Idol promo still covered in trash and handcuffed. Definite extra.
