Now this is what I'm talking about CONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING with Gordon Solie and Mike Jackson as the ring announcer at Boutwell Auditorium.

"Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol vs. Don Sanders (7/1/85)

There are two rings here because there was a 2-ring battle royal later in the card. Idol wins easily.

Next we get a video for Adrian Street with Idol coming out to cut a promo on him afterwards which Street retorts.

Southeastern Tag Titles: The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne) © vs. Scott & Steve Armstrong (7/1/85)

Why are the Armstrongs coming out to Legs by ZZ Top. I really dug the Armstrongs working over Nightmare #1's left arm early and it was Andersonesque if they were wearing cutoff t-shirts and had hair. Nightmare #2 would come in after a tag and they worked his arm over as well even breaking out a shoulderbreaker. The tide would turn though after Steve ate a knee in the back by Nightmare #1 as he was running the ropes and Nightmare #2's Muhammad Ali routine throwing punches was nice. Steve would get a sunset flip on Nightmare #1 but the ref was preoccupied allowing a double-team that would keep the advantage on the heel side. Steve would finally get the hot tag to Scott who comes in blazing with dropkicks and is fired up as the 4-way brawl starts. One Nightmare would get posted as Scott would superkick the other one but the switch would come as Scott was preoccupied with the ref and the other Nightmare took out Scott's legs and pinned him with his feet on the ropes to retain their titles. This match went almost 9 minutes and I liked it a lot so it goes on the block.

Brad Armstrong vs. Randy Barber (7/1/85)

Barber is calling himself the Raging Bull here, what a joke. Brad is back home after leaving Mid-South and looks good here.

Bullet Bob Armstrong & Robert Fuller come out to talk about Bob's feud with the Stud Stable and that Fuller would stand by his side throughout this situation. Fuller is sporting a blonde dye job here looking younger and a little heelish. Fuller said that he still won't wrestle though due to his "problems."

Johnny "Crash" Rich & "Wildfire" Tommy Rich vs. Larry Clarke & Glen Holbrook (7/1/85)

Rich's win fairly easily. Then we get dueling promos after the match between the Rich's & Nightmares.

This closes with clips of a great looking 8-man featuring Bullet/Chops/Idol/Humongous vs. Mr. Class/Flame/Stud/Golden.

The Rat Patrol (Steve Armstrong & Johnny Rich) vs. Bill Ash & Randy Barber (7/15/85)

Patrol hasn't teamed in a while and they look good here. Ash would walk out on Barber around the end of the match.

Next is a great video for Bullet Bob Armstrong to Bad to the Bone. Definite extra.

Mr. Class (Ken Timbs) vs. Larry Clarke (7/15/85)

Squash.

Gordon then brings out Wildfire who won $20,000 in the 2-ring battle royal on 7/1/85 and they show the clips of him winning. Rich then says that he would put up $10,000 of that money to get a match with Mr. Class.

Stud comes out whining about Bullet Bob putting Jimmy Golden out of action with a sleeper hold and they show clips. Stud then proclaims that he would run the Armstrongs out of the territory for good.

"Exotic" Adrian Street vs. Kent Glover (7/15/85)

Street makes his Continental debut here and this is great stuff as the fans hate his guts calling him faggot loudly.

Idol then comes out for a promo after Street cuts one on him. This is good stuff.

Continental Heavyweight Title: The Flame (The Assassin) © vs. Lord Humongous (7/15/85)

Funny seeing Humongous as a babyface. Flame attacks him at the bell but Humongous would fight back and went for the mask with the referee pulling him off and as that happened, Flame loaded up his mask and KOed him sending him to the floor. Stud would then come out and hit him with a steel chair where they would take off Humongous' mask but Bullet would come out to make the save but he gets overwhelmed until Humongous can get his mask back to fight them off with Bob. Very fun stuff.

Then we get dueling promos from these four after the brawl.
