They gave us a bit of everything. This was just good good stuff. The finish was obvious in how the bout was presented.
June 11, 201015 yr comment_5451840 Kerry Von Erich & Jimmy Jack Funk vs. Al Perez & Taurus Bulba Legends of WCCW 9/5/90 - Another solid tag but I liked it less than the chain match. This left me wanting to watch more Kerry vs. Bulba but again, we have a perfectly acceptable match where nothing really memorable happens or none of the performances were spectacular enough to go on the Best of Texas set.
June 17, 201015 yr comment_5452108 I liked this more than Will but less than shoe. Kerry and Bulba always seem to match up well, and this was no exception. Focus was on them for much of the match, so the bout works pretty well. J.J. Funk worked well in a limited role, and I thought his stuff off the hot tag looked really good. Perez didn't do anything too interesting, but didn't hold back the match, either. While the Kerry/Bulba stuff was not the best Kerry/Bulba stuff we have, it's still enough combined with what Funk brought to the table that I'd officially back this as a low-end nomination. That said, I really don't foresee this making the set unless Kris absolutely loves it.
June 21, 201015 yr comment_5452192 Jimmy Jack Funk & "Modern Day Warrior" Kerry Von Erich vs. Tarras Bulba & "Latin Heartthrob" Al Perez (8/11/89) This had some good spirited action as the faces threw some really good punches plus it built up Kerry/Bulba well as they had some fun brawling on the floor. Kerry was okay as the FIP and JJ was fine on the hot tag before the 4-way brawl broke out. Lowrance started the minute countdown so it was obvious where it was heading which was a draw. This was a fine match but not a nomination.
