Posted March 17, 201015 yr comment_5448463 Kevin Von Erich vs. Terry Gordy This was just a hard hitting brawl with real good psychology from Gordy. I was wincing from watching some of these blows. I've got to give Gordy props for just killing Kevin's neck with a varirty of kick ass offense. Plus we get a kick ass pull apart after the bout. It wasn't a long bout. It was 8 minutes with the pull apart, but damn was it intense and had a "real feeling" It felt very All-Japan heavy in its stiffness, and realism.Nomination. Fuck I love these guys.
June 11, 201015 yr comment_5451841 Kevin Von Erich vs. Terry Gordy WCCW 3/24/84 - Kevin misses a charge early on so Gordy goes to town on Kevin’s neck and throat. He works a long chinlock though and for such a short match, we don’t need that much resting. Kevin comes back and gets the claw applied. Kevin controls shortly until he gets dropped with a lariat. I didn’t like yet another DQ ending and you can tell these guys are at war but I really want to watch all of the Kevin vs. Terry matches before pushing this one through. The brevity of the match and the bad finish would definitely hurt this in the voting process.
June 20, 201015 yr comment_5452178 I've already seen this on another disc, but I've seen so many Kevin/Gordy matches that it would probably be quicker to just rewatch this than to try and find my earlier write-up. These two didn't really have bad matches against each other, but this one wasn't particularly strong. It's also as short as a lot of better matches that I declined to nominate due to their length. I'd back it as an extra, but not as a nomination.
