Posted March 22, 201015 yr comment_5448527 Continental Heavyweight Title: The Flame © vs. "Wildfire" Tommy Rich (8/19/85) When he wasn't stalling, Flame took a lot of punishment from Rich before he went for the mask prompting the Flame to backdrop him over the top rope to the floor. Rich would come back in to eat some headbutts by the Flame who had loaded his mask with Rich juicing. Flame is relentless in his attack using punches and headbutts before posting on Rich on the floor. Rich would fire it up though and started throwing bombs as the fans went nuts with one punch sending the Flame over the top and to the floor like he did to Rich earlier. Rich would miss a diving fistdrop off the apron though and hit straight concrete with Flame sending him back to the ring bringing a chair with him. Rich would steal the chair from the Flame and clocked him with it to win the title as the crowd went nuts. We would get dueling promos afterwards which was good of course with these two. I liked this match as it was nothing but a hard hitting brawl and this definitely moves forward.
