Posted March 24, 201015 yr comment_5448572 Handicap Match: The Great Kabuki vs. Raul Castro & Samu (10/26/82) Squash but Samu is now barefoot. Kabuki was made for this type of match. The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy & Michael Hayes) vs. The Destroyer & Gran Markus II (10/26/82) I don’t think this is the real Gran Markus. Bundy & Irwin jump the Birds before the match and it becomes an all out pull apart brawl. Fun stuff and then they actually have the match which the Birds take care of easily. This was really fun. Then we get a Kerry update on his return to the ring. This is pre-heavy drugs so Kerry is fine here on the promo. Al Madril & Bugsy McGraw vs. Checkmate (Tony Charles) & Magic Dragon (10/26/82) Bugsy was all comedy here including him immitating Checkmate in his wrestling stance. Different pacing here as they weren't working to a draw and Bugsy was way different than Lothario which I sorta missed Jose here as a rematch would've been fun. Madril really gets beat on here by the heels in a fairly long FIP section. Madril & Bugsy would then make a comeback and Madril hit a nice flying cross body block off the top rope on Dragon to give that team their first loss. I liked this but I liked the Lothario match better and this falls short of a nomination. Kevin Von Erich vs. Wild Bill Irwin (10/26/82) Kevin looked good here and he used his bodyscissors which I loved from his arsenal of moves. Irwin would injure his hip so Kevin went for an abdominable stretch that Irwin would use to swing Kevin into the referee for the DQ. Fun while it lasted.
