"Gentleman" Chris Adams vs. The Mongol (Gene Lewis) (5/13/83) Adams now has the fans with him and they chant for him early here as Mongol works him over. Adams hits some big spots here with a Superkick on the floor followed up by a big tope before taking it back to the ring where Adams took control until Mongol would move out of the way with Adams crotching himself on the ropes. Mongol then choked him until the DQ was called but Adams would hit an enzuigiri afterwards to send Mongol out of the ring. This was better than their previous match but still a shit finish and. "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Johnny Mantell (5/13/83) Garvin challenges David Von Erich for another shot at the Texas title before the match. This was a good match as these two had pretty good chemistry together but at this point Mantell was just starting full-time with World Class and Garvin was the star so he would get the win with a backbreaker. Not as good as their Fort Worth match for sure. Next we get a slow motion video for Kevin Von Erich showcasing his aerial skills. Cool video that is extra material. American Heavyweight Title: Kevin Von Erich © vs. Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy (5/13/83) These two always deliver against each other and this one was no different. Kevin controlled the mat early on and of the Von Erichs he was the best wrestler of the group and it’s funny that each of the main 3 were the best at certain areas with David being the best overall worker and Kerry being the most charismatic. Gordy was a natural fit for Kevin as a worker as he could make Kevin look great then when on offense just beating his ass so he can show his selling prowess. Kevin breaks out some of his patented body scissors spots here and they are great because his legs were so muscular you could believe that he could suck the life out of you. Kevin would then use a sleeper with again the muscular arms making it look more effective and Gordy’s selling of this was great which it was for everything in this match. Gordy would try and piledrive Kevin twice but both times Kevin would counter leading to the finish where Gordy tried a 180 splash off the top rope but missed. Kevin then used one of his own to take out Gordy and win the match. This is an easy nomination.
