Ciclon Ramirez/Apolo Dantes/Super Astro vs. Negro Casas/Blue Panther/Emilio Charles Jr. 9/89?

This match had some slow points, as the second fall and part of the third were a bit underwhelming. However the first fall and the finish of the third had a lot of cool stuff, and this match is just filled with super talented luchadores. Casas is such a superstar as is Charles Jr. I would have liked to see a little more flash out of Astro, but I am going to go ahead and give this a low end nomination.

Pirata Morgan/Hombre Bala/El Verdugo vs. Mascara Sagrada/Atlantis/Super Astro 9/89?

The worlds greatest WCWSN lucha match, one fall, 12 or so minutes of crazy spots and awesome Piratas bumping, million miles and hour, picture perfect execution, just awesome shit. Probably the craziest dives of the 1980's too. Los Piratas are incredible in this, and all of the technicos look great too, slamdunk pick.

Lizmark/Popitekus/Atlantis vs. Emilio Charles Jr./Jerry Estrada/Pierroth Jr. 9/89?

Short match with more great execution and crazy rudo bumping. I love Popitekus as everything he does looks like it really hurts. Estrada takes some of his legendary career shortening bumps, including totally wiping out on a dive. Similar to the previous match, although not as transcendent. Mid range nomination.

MS1/Tierra, Viento y Fuego vs. Atlantis/Satanico (Mask/Hair vs. Mask/Hair Match) 9/22/89

This took a bit to get going, but man it got good. I don't think much of Earth, Wind and Fire in this, but he will bleed, bleed and bleed. Highlights are the MS1 v. Satanico brawling, and it is as good as you would expect. I loved Atlantis's reckless dives too. Finishing run was truly dramatic and I liked how it came down to Atlantis and Tierra, Viento y Fuego. Solid nom

Eddy Guerrero/El Dandy/Apolo Dantes vs. Pirata Morgan/Ary Romero/Emilio Charles Jr. 10/89?

Really great match, so much fun to see a young Eddy mix it up with all of these guys. I haven't thought much of Ary Romero in the past, but he was fun here, with lots of amusing shtick, I really liked his strut spot with Eddy. We also get lots of Pirata v.Dandy which is always awesome, and Emilo takes a backdrop better then anyone in wrestling. Solid nom

Blue Panther/Emilio Charles Jr./Negro Casas vs. Apolo Dantes/Ciclon Ramirez/Super Astro (September 1989)

Astro is fiesty early baiting BP to come in the ring before all 3 rudos jump him which brings in Astro's partners to send them scurrying. Casas would take a huge bump from Astro who then did his dizzying routine on the rudos which was fun. Astro & BP then had a really fun exchange before Apolo took out Emilio with a nice high belly to belly suplex and Astro pinned Casas to take the fall. Apolo then started the 2nd fall like a madman taking out all the rudos himself sending them to the floor to regroup. Emilio then would take a wild bump to the floor thanks to Ciclon then ran in the crowd as Ciclon faked a tope suicida which was nice. The rudos make a comeback and they would even up the falls with BP kicking around Apolo & Astro on the floor like a dick. The 3rd fall started with the tecnicos chasing the rudos in the crowd but when the action came back to the ring Astro would get overpowered by the rudos. Astro though snapped and started going crazy on the rudos which motivated his partners to follow and now you have the rudos bumping around hard while Astro tries to unmask BP in the ring. Ciclon would hit a sweet tope con hilo on Emilio on the floor as in the ring BP & Negro finish off Astro & Apolo to get the win. Very fun match and I'll back the low-end nomination.

Atlantis/Mascara Sagrada/Super Astro vs. Los Bucaneros (Hombre Bala/Pirata Morgan/Verdugo) (September 1989)

This is part of a cuadrangular de parejas so it's one fall and it's frantic from the start with everyone getting their stuff in and looking great. You get crazy bumps and dives with the fans going nuts. I fucking loved Atlantis going on a Quebradora rampage and even getting one on Astro which pissed him off. Just a fantastic match with so much going on and a slam dunk nomination.

Atlantis/Lizmark/Popitekus vs. Emilio Charles Jr./Jerry Estrada/Pierroth (September 1989)

Damn the tecnicos look great in the 1st fall as they fly around with the rudos bumping their asses off making them look good. Even Pierroth was movin and groovin here. Estrada was a horse here flying in and out of the ring before the rudos were able to make their comeback as they dominated Popi before Pierroth took out Lizmark to tie it up. The 3rd fall saw some very fun back and forth action with Estrada again showing his craziness as he totally misses Popi on a tope con hilo and hits all floor so Atlantis shows him how it's done hitting a sweet running tope con hilo on Emilio while Lizmark wipes out Pierroth with a Liger Bomb to win the match. Another damn good match and a solid nomination to me.

Mascara/Caballera contra Caballera/Mascara: Atlantis & Satanico vs. MS-1 & Tierra Viento y Fuego (9/22/89)

This is from the 56th Anniversario and it's great seeing MS-1 & Satanico go to war here. TVF isn't on the level of the others here but he can take some punishment and like Phil said he can bleed like crazy. The brawling was very good especially with MS-1 & Satanico teeing off but Atlantis was taking it and giving it as well. The rudos attack Satanico's forehead and bring out the juice from him which sets him off into a frenzy and he takes it out on the rudos. His face is a crimson mask so he wants to do the same to MS-1 and he succeeds as MS-1 is drenched in blood as well. Like I said earlier TVF bleeds like crazy and this is what an apuestas match is all about now and it's awesome. Atlantis would hit a big tope suicida on TVF while Satanico would crush MS-1 with a senton bomb off the apron. Satanico couldn't celebrate long though as Atlantis accidentally took him out with a tope suicida leaving Atlantis to fight 2-on-1 and they had him dead to rights but Satanico would sneak in to stop them. Satanico would then accidentally backdrop Atlantis to the floor leaving him to fight 2-on-1 but Atlantis would come back to save him so they are now equal. Satanico would get an inside cradle to get a pin on MS-1 while the others went to battle to save their masks with Atlantis coming out on top. The last part of this match was awesome and this moves forward easily.

El Dandy/Apolo Dantes/Eddy Guerrero vs. Emilio Charles Jr./Pirata Morgan/Ari Romero (October 1989)

Eddy & Romero bring their issues from WIN here and they work very well together plus it's always fun watching Eddy work against the EMLL stalwarts. Dandy & Emilio were very fun here especially against each other and Dantes & Pirata brought the goodness as well. Romero strutting around like a Fargo was awesome. All and all a fun workrate sprint with everyone looking good. Fairly easy nomination.
