Posted March 30, 201015 yr comment_5448783 You would expect a great match from these four, and sure enough, they deliver. Plenty of great early stooging from the heels early on. Missy Hyatt is awesome here. For some reason, she is more mic'd up than the wrestlers or even Bill Mercer, so we get all of her great bratty screeching and her Nelson Muntz-esque laugh taunting the faces loud and clear. Early beating by the faces was real good, too. One of my favorite spots in wrestling is when a guy Irish whips his opponent and then drops down to monkey flip him, only for his opponent to stop short and stomp them in the face. Here, The Grappler Irish whips Brickhouse and then drops down for a monkey flip, but Brickhouse stops short and drops a headbutt on The Grappler, which ruled. Adams ends up being the face in peril, and he eats a nice beating from the heels. Tatum is such a great stooge that you can sometimes forget that he's capable of bringing the hurt when given the chance. He and Grappler do just that. Brickhouse looks good coming in off of the hot tag, but it's short-lived, as the heels take control once more. That, too, proves to be short-lived, as Adams gets knocked to the apron, and The Grappler loads his boot to punt him in the dome as he comes back in, but Adams pulls away just in time and Grappler takes the Charlie Brown bump, allowing Adams to hit a slingshot splash for the pin. Tatum jumps Adams after the bell and he and Grappler hold him in place so Missy can slap him around a bit, but Brickhouse comes back to send them all running, though not before Missy gets into it with some woman in the audience demanding the she be ejected from the stadium and calling her a "fucking asshole" on a pre-taped TV show promoted by a born-again Christian. This was quality stuff, and feels like a solid nomination to me.
June 11, 201015 yr comment_5451842 Chris Adams & Brickhouse Brown vs. John Tatum & The Grappler Parade of Champions III - I really liked this match and both teams were hot but man was this criminally short. I don’t know if there was enough here to move it to the next round since it got cut off before you could build to any real peak. I liked the work. It would go on a Best of John Tatum or Chirs Adams set for sure but falls short of a nomination for me.
June 21, 201015 yr comment_5452193 "Gentleman" Chris Adams & Brickhouse Brown vs. The Grappler (Len Denton) & "Hollywood" John Tatum (5/4/86) This had good fast paced action with everyone working hard with Adams being a natural for FIP since he was coming back from the eye injury and the fans were very pissed whenever he was attacked. Brick would get the hot tag and he threw some soupbones setting up for Adams to come back in to get some of the Grappler but Tatum would tag in and missed his diving elbow drop off the top rope. Tatum was great selling Adams' punches before Missy tripped him up allowing Grappler to come back in. Adams would eventually knock the Grappler out and hit a slingspot splash from the apron to get the win. The heels would then jump Adams after the match as Missy cheered on until Brick made the save. Missy then got into it with some female fan at ringside wanting her kicked out then called her a fucking asshole very loudly. I liked this a lot and I didn't feel it was short at all length wise. This moves forward.
