Odd that the falls count anywhere match would be used to set up the straight singles match, but whatever. Fun bit early on where they're grappling and Kerry shoves Bulba down and does a little strut, and then Bulba gets up and starts stomping around. Things spill to the outside, of course, and it becomes a wild brawl, with Bulba getting tossed out the Sportatorium door at one point. You can see why Kerry would try to "outsmart Bulba with wrestling" in the rematch as Bulba keeps outsmarting Kerry in a fight. He blocks the discus punch to hit a nice shot of his own, followed by the Ode to Killer Khan high-pitched yell and a headbutt. He also blocks the Iron Claw twice when Kerry takes too long teasing it. Once it gets Kerry poked in the eyes, but the other time it lets Bulba sink in the Mongolian Claw, and after a long struggle, Kerry goes out and Bulba gets a clean pin. He refuses to let go of the Claw, and Kerry starts bleeding before the other faces come out from the back to chase off him and Akbar. Kerry gets stretchered out as Marc Lowrance bemoans the indignity of Kerry losing to a "foreign claw". Like the rematch, this was a great brawl with a nice dollop of shtick thrown on top. Easy nomination.

Kerry Von Erich vs. Taurus Bulba (Falls Count Anywhere) USWA Texas 9/89-10/89 #2

- They brawl outside early on and Kerry even throws him through a door leading to the back to get over the idea that the match can end up anywhere. After the commercial, both guys are back out of the ring. Inside, Kerry goes for the claw but TB hooks it on instead. TB refuses to break the claw, I think Kerry is bleeding so they pixilate the screen. Eh, I am missing what you guys thought was so good about this match. The stipulation really didn’t play into the match. They didn’t even try to attempt a pin outside to get the stip over. After the commercial break, the whole segment was on TB’s claw. No vote.

Falls Count Anywhere Match: "Modern Day Warrior" Kerry Von Erich vs. Tarras Bulba (9/1/89)

This is very TNA that a falls count anywhere match sets up a singles rematch for next week and of all the referees to use for this, they picked Bronko Lubich. There was some fun brawling here including Kerry throwing Bulba out the backdoor and at least they worked a good bit of this on the floor. This was all about who would get the claw first and as Kerry tried and failed numerous times, Bulba got his claw and kept it on for quite a while before Kerry was counted down for the pin. Kerry juiced from the claw and Bulba refused to break it until the faces cleaned house and Kerry had to be stretchered out. This was fun but wasn't good enough for a nomination.
