This was the best of their matches so far, as it felt the most structurally sound, even if it wasn't quite as wild as their other bouts. With everyone else barred from ringside, Adams once again rushed Chu-Hi early, getting in some nice shots. This time, Chu-Hi worked to slow Chris down once he took over, throwing some big chops and locking on nerveholds that Chris sold very well. Adams would escape his grasp a few times and try to run the ropes, but Chu-Hi would cut him off with a big kneelift and a double cross chop. Adams is finally able to escape and blast Chu-Hi with a superkick. He's too weakened to capitalize right away, but still makes his big comeback and hits another superkick. He only manages to get two, but Tojo Yamamoto is obviously spooked and comes out from the back. Since everyone had been barred from ringside, they apparently didn't feel the need to lock the cage door, so Tojo just saunters in and goes after Adams with the kendo stick, getting Chu-Hi DQ'd. Toni Adams hits the ring with her own kendo stick and drives off Tojo. He drops his kendo stick, which Chris picks up, and he and Toni both attack Chu-Hi before he flees. Another strong chapter in this feud, and this one feels like a low-end nomination.

Steel Cage Match: "Gentleman" Chris Adams vs. PY Chu-Hi (Phil Hickerson) (9/22/89)

Toni & Tojo are barred from ringside. PY works nerve holds here ala Kabuki trying to prove that he was an Asian I guess but I would've loved for him to break out the Hickerson style a little more. PY would continue to work over Adams with strikes and would use the cage as a weapon also but Adams would return the favor making PY eat the steel before taking a low blow. PY would again take control but Adams would come back with a great looking Superkick that would turn the tide in his favor. Adams would hit another Superkick before Tojo would run down to enter the cage but Toni would follow him and used the kendo stick on him before both of them would use sticks on PY sending him running. Fun match and Toni looked quite good in her attire. I'll co-sign a low-end nomination.

Chris Adams vs. P.Y. Chu-Hi (Steel Cage Match), USWA Texas 9/89-10/89 #3

- The first few minutes were non stop action… nothing particularly vicious or memorable but fun. Then, PY gives me the dreaded nerve hold that deducts a point or two from my book. PY finally releases the hold and actually uses the cage once to throw Adams inside. Adams fights back and hits the superkick. However, Tojo is about to sneak in with the kendo stick but Jeannie Adams comes in and chases Tojo away. So much for the cage not keeping people out. Man, that finish sucked. No idea why PY recovered before Adams. No idea why they couldn’t have had the interference after the match. No vote here and this should not be on the set.
