Chris Adams vs. Jimmy Garvin (American Title Match) Seen it. Johnny Mantel vs. Jimmy Garvin JIP. This is not the match where Garvin and Precious turn on Sunshine. In fact, Precious doesn't even seem to be involved in the situation yet. What's shown is really good, as you might imagine if you've seen their later match. Don't know if it would make for nomination material, but still wouldn't mind seeing this in full. Chic Donovan vs. Butch Reed Seen it. Johnny Mantel vs. Jerry Grey Great match. I was not expecting this to be as competitive as it was, but it was really back-and-forth, with Mantel dominating on the mat at first, and then Grey throwing some nice short forearms while in an armbar and brawling to transition. Then Mantel starts getting rough, and it just escalates from there. Both guys looked really good, and it had an excellent finish, with Grey looking to back body drop Mantel out of the corner, but Mantel leapfrogging him, turning around, and dropping him with a mean Russian leg sweep for the win. Mantel is the only guy other than Killer Khan who I've ever seen make the Russian leg sweep look devastating. Man, Khan vs. Mantel would be awesome.
