Posted April 13, 201015 yr comment_5449453 First fall, Mayne attacks Rose before he can get his robe off and pins him in about ten seconds after the BOMBS AWAY! Rose sells it like death. Looks like Mayne goes to the back for the break but runs around the ring to attack Rose again but is stopped. He leaves with a little girl on his shoulder. I wasn't expecting that. Second fall has Mayne punishing Rose with some sweet punches until the ref is distracted so Wiskowski can bust Mayne open off the turnbuckle. Buddy attacks the cut and gets the pin a short time later. Nothing really fancy, but Rose and Mayne just pound on each other. Good round. Ed Wiskowski cuts a promo and berates Lonnie Mayne between the 2nd and 3rd falls as Lonnie Mayne is getting rubbed down. Dutch Savage interrupts Wiskowski so Layne attacks Ed. 3rd fall, Lonnie works over the left arm and at one point, he goes to the kick the arm but his boot connects with Rose's face so Buddy sells the hit in the face. Sweet. Fuck, Layne is biting the arm. Ah shit, Mayne works over the arm on the ropes adn atacks the ref when he tries to get him to stop. Well DQ aside, I had fun watching this and look forward to the rematch. Since they were hyping a grudge match at the arena, I can forgive the ending and I think this would be a nice addition to a 70s set.
May 8, 201015 yr comment_5450573 This was pretty great shit, I couldn't really tell if Moondog Mayne was good, or whether Buddy Rose just made him look great. I loved the first fall with Buddy's post fall puking, really put over that bombs away as a killer move. The second a third falls were totally super, the best 70's wrestling feels like Mean Streets, and this had that grimey violent feel.
