Posted April 13, 201015 yr comment_5449471 (All stuff also on Classic Lucha 1989 Vol 4, better VQ here) Emilio Charles Jr./MS1/Tierra, Viento y Fuego vs. Atlantis/El Dandy/Mascara Sagrada Fun match with nifty exchanges which kicks into a next level when Charles Jr. starts chewing on Dandy's head. It gets really grim really fast with Dandy squirting blood and then firing back and busting open Charles Jr. Borderline before the blood, crimson puts it on All Star/Rocky Star/Fuerza Guerrera vs. Super Astro/El Hijo Del Santo/Blue Demon Jr. - Elimination match which determines the following matches… Super Astro vs. Blue Demon Jr. Rocky Star/All Star vs. Fuerza Guerrera/El Hijo Del Santo - Relevos Increibles Battle royal wasn't much, and the two matches which come from it were a little underwhelming. Astro, Santo and Fuerza all looked fine, but Demon and the Stars weren't much and nothing about any of this stood out

Dandy bleeds so much that his neon green trunks look tye-dyed by the end. MS-1 also looked suitably tank-like, and Atlantis was as fun as usual. Sagrada and TVF weren't on the same level as the other guys. TVF does some amusing stooge heel stuff, but otherwise doesn't look very good. I might be setting unrealistically high standards for the guy because of his name. This felt like an appetizer for the rest of the Dandy/Emilio feud, but it was a tasty one, so I'll back it as a low-end nom. All Star/Rocky Star/Fuerza Guerrera vs. Super Astro/El Hijo Del Santo/Blue Demon Jr Well, this was meandering. Super Astro vs. Blue Demon Jr. Pretty dull. Rocky Star/All Star vs. Fuerza Guerrera/El Hijo Del Santo - Relevos Increibles Was All Star the inspiration for Super Uchu X? I can't really get into a relevos increibles match when so much of the focus is on the teams not getting along. It is like watching every Russo-booked main event tag ever, and you've got Santo and Fuerza in there, I really expect better.
July 23, 201213 yr comment_5510944 Emilio Charles Jr./MS-1/Tierra, Viento y Fuego vs. Atlantis/El Dandy/Mascara Sagrada (11/24/89) Now that's a fun tecnico team plus you add in the hatred that Dandy & Emilio have for each other this should be really good. Dandy's neon green tights are so 1989 it's not even funny. MS-1 was solid here against everyone while Atlantis didn't steal the show but he did enough to have his presence felt. Sagrada was fine here meanwhile TVF didn't do a whole lot. Dandy & Emilio were the stars of the match here as they are building to a title match next week and then you throw in Dandy hitting a gusher on his neon green tights it's like the cherry on top of the sundae. Dandy wasn't taking that lightly though as he busted Emilio open as well and it's a perfect way to build to the title match. Solid match and moves forward easily. I've seen everything else on here.
