Mascara Sagrada/El Faron/Atlantis v. Brazo De Oro/MS1/Maskare

Solid match with some fun Faron v. MS1 exchanges and Oro looked good too. Still nothing really stood out, and the finish was weak.Mediocre lucha is pretty good, but this isn't the kind of thing which would make a set.

Fabuloso Blondy/Brazo De Plata/El Brazo v. Pirata Morgan/El Verdugo/Hombre Bala

Brazos v. Piratas is always good, but Blondy is a really poor replacement for Oro, and this never really gets out of second gear. I have no idea how the only guy bleeding in a match like this is Ken Timbs.

El Dandy v. Emilio Charles Jr.

Pretty cool we got both a bloody hair match and a classic title match between these two. Cool mat wrestling and counters in the first couple of falls, and then a big run of finishes. Dandy has beautiful german suplexes here, and a crazy dive. Dandy is one of the great singles match wrestlers in history and I could easily see multiple Dandy matches in the top ten. Nomination for sure.

Fuerza Guerrera/Rocky Star v. All Star/El Hijo Del Santo

Fuerza Guerrera v. Rocky Star

I think this counts as one match, as the losers of the tag went directly into a mask match. Opening tag was fun with some nice Santo v. Fuerza stuff and cool dives by everyone. The Fuerza v. Rocky match is pretty great as Fuerza is just a lunatic bump machine, flying into chairs, taking his crazy through the ropes bump on to his knees. I don't get the sense that Rocky Star is very good, but he definitely steps it up because he is losing his mask. Good shit, definite nomination

Mascara Sagrada/El Faron/Atlantis v. Brazo De Oro/MS1/Maskare

I didn't like this as much as Phil, so, yeah, it's a no-go.

Fabuloso Blondy/Brazo De Plata/El Brazo v. Pirata Morgan/El Verdugo/Hombre Bala

What I wrote on Segunda Caida:

"Bucaneros vs. Brazos is an unqualified good in professional wrestling. Oro worked another match on the card, so we get the odd sight of Ken Timbs working as de facto babyface in Mexico. This is a lot more what you would expect from a Pirata vs. Brazo match, as the Bucaneros jump the Brazos plus Blondy at the bell and just beat the shit out of them for the entire first fall. It is kind of amusing to see the crowd rallying behind the Brazos when they're the focus of the beatdown, only to swing to the Bucaneros' side when they set their sights on Timbs. Then the technicos make their comeback in the second fall, and Timbs flips the switch from Georgia heel to Georgia babyface, which is really cool to see. He has some great brawling exchanges with Pirata throughout this match, but I thought they especially stood out here. Fall open with Timbs taking a great posting by Pirata (which he blades off of...only one guy in the match bleeds, oddly, but at least it's the one blonde guy), before slugging it out with Pirata later and closing the fall by sending Pirata into the post (which he also eats really well) while the Brazos take out Verdugo and Bala. Third fall is really fun back-and-forth stuff. The final exchange between Pirata and Timbs is great. Pirata misdirects Timbs with the left hand to pop him in the mouth with the right and throws him into the corner, but Timbs charges out with a great-looking Hart Attack-style clothesline. He spends too much time celebrating, though, and Pirata cracks him from behind with an ezuigiri before locking on the figure-four for the win. I don't know if this will make the 80's Lucha set. Phil wasn't crazy about it, and thought that Timbs made a poor substitute for Oro. He's certainly not Brazo de Oro's equal, but I thought he worked really well here, and the fact that Pirata Morgan vs. Fabuloso Blondy is a match-up that we're probably not going to see a whole lot of is too bad, because they were great against each other in this."

This is a nomination.

El Dandy v. Emilio Charles Jr.

These guys match up so well against each other, even in radically different types of matches. Easy nomination.

Fuerza Guerrera/Rocky Star v. All Star/El Hijo Del Santo

Fuerza Guerrera v. Rocky Star

I had mixed feelings about the tag, as the Stars are deeply not good. Still, there was enough good going on there with the Santo/Fuerza interaction and the awesome dive train that when you combine it with the kick-ass singles match...yeah, this is a nomination.

Atlantis/El Faraon/Mascara Sagrada vs. Brazo de Oro/Masakre/MS-1 (12/1/89)

Interesting rudo team but this match is underwhelming as it's a good match but nothing special. I did like the Oro/ex-Infernales beefing after the match.

Los Bucaneros (Hombre Bala/Pirata Morgan/Verdugo) vs. El Brazo/Brazo de Plata/Fabuloso Blondy (12/1/89)

It's odd that Blondy is teaming with the Brazos while Oro is in the other match but they are building to a Pirata/Blondy match so the logic is there. The bald Bucaneros (Bala & Verdugo) were out for blood and revenge here and they are fucking vicious trying to get blood from Brazo's head and they succeed before moving on to Porky where they just wanted to kick his ass. Blondy begged them not to beat his ass but that failed and he was beaten bloody as well. The comeback was fun especially watching Blondy fire it up working tecnico. 3rd fall was very fun with both teams looking strong which was expected even Blondy who was very motivated here and his exchanges with Pirata were fiery. Blondy remembered who he was though and started strutting around but Pirata would catch him with an enzuigiri before putting him away. This was very fun and I'll push it forward as a low-end pick.

Mexican National Middleweight Title: El Dandy © vs. Emilio Charles Jr. (12/1/89)

3 months earlier these two had a classic hair match with all the bells and whistles you wanted in that style so here we get them in the title match style and as expected they deliver a classic lucha title style match. This has some fantastic action as we get both of them tear it up on the mat before breaking out the dives and bumping fiesta with Dandy looking like a world beater. Like I said a fantastic match and a slam dunk nomination. El Dandy was the shit nuff said.

Relevos Increibles Suicidas: All-Star & Hijo del Santo vs. Fuerza Guerrera & Rocky Star (12/1/89)

Santo & Fuerza totally make this match good here and this is nothing but a setup for the losers to face off.

Mascara contra Mascara: Fuerza Guerrera vs. Rocky Star (12/1/89)

This was the performance of Rocky Star's career probably as Fuerza carried him to a really good mask match. Fuerza bumps like a fucking maniac here making Rocky's offense look strong and Rocky deserves some credit as he knew his mask was on the line so he was up to the task. You combine this with the tag match and I agree that this is a nomination.
