Perfectly acceptable wrestling by four of the six guys in this match, but the awesomeness of Ringo Mendoza v. Sangre Chicana puts it over the top. They were paired off most of the match and the brawling was awesome looking. Some of the best punch exchanges on the set, Chicana feels like the guy who is going to get the biggest reputation bounce out of this set. Nomination, although this was pretty dark too.

 

 

Classic Lucha Vol 7

I loved Mocho Cota's hat. This was a really good match, but I don't think there's anything about it that I liked more than Mocho Cota's hat, which leads me to think I should vote "no" on it.

I liked this still, but on rewatch the Chicana v. Ringo stuff didn't pop as much as did before. If SLL is giving it a No. I am not fighting for it.

La Fiera/Mocho Cota/Sangre Chicana vs. Mascara Ano Dos Mil/Mano Negra/Ringo Mendoza (10/28/83)

 

Mocho's hat was fantastic here and looked like something Dusty Rhodes would've worn in the 70's. Rudos were solid in the 1st fall really taking it to MA2K and then Ringo when he tried to assist and there was some really good punches thrown here by Chicana. Fiera's crazy splash off the top on MA2K before finishing off Mano with a Samoan Drop diving knee combo with Mocho to end the first fall was fun. Rudos continued their ass whipping in the 2nd fall but the tecnicos would fight back here with the highlight being any and every Ringo/Chicana exchange which was spirited with some fucking great punches being thrown. In between falls there was a standoff on the floor where Fiera would eat fierce shot into the ringpost before the 3rd fall would start. The Ringo/Chicana exchanges here were very fun and everyone here was showing fire. The stretch run was frantic as guys were trying to put the others away but kept getting foiled until Ringo & Chicana just decide to fuck everyone else and they counter each other like crazy before Ringo gets to win. I dug this a lot mainly thanks to Ringo & Chicana and this moves forward fairly easily.
