Posted April 19, 201015 yr comment_5449671 Really great match, with Sangre Chicana again being absolutely king sized, brawling, bleeding and winning with a great tope. Totally intense and something I could see finishing high. It is very, very dark though, with parts of the match hard to see. I wonder if there is anyway we could lighten the video somehow. There is a lighter version on Classic Lucha Vol 5, but it could still be lightened.
October 22, 201113 yr comment_5486423 My opinion on this is Phil's opinion on Perro/Satanico/MS1 vs. Cien/Fiera/Herodes. Two kick-ass falls followed by a third fall finish that really cut the balls off of it as a nomination. Wild, bloody brawl with Chicana taking an ass-kicking most of the way through, making a dramatic comeback to tie things up, and then immediately falling prey to an extremely forced, nonsensical double DQ that brings everything to a grinding halt. This feels like a slam dunk extra, but not a nomination.
October 23, 201113 yr Author comment_5486510 SLL is nuts here though, this is an awesome match and I am really happy we have a good VQ quality version of it. Nasty blood spraying brawl with Chicana taking a huge asskicking and hitting the great tope for the flash win. I liked the double DQ third fall finish. This had the sick violent feel of a match which almost had to end like that. I totally could see Chicana wanting to rip V3s mask off, and totally bought V3 responding with a kick to the nuts. This is making a set for sure.
June 25, 201213 yr comment_5508090 Sangre Chicana vs. Villano III (November 1984) This is awesome stuff as V-3 just beats the fucking shit out of Chicana early and he is bleeding like hell with V-3 being awesome working over the cut. V-3's DDT on the floor was sweet before just killing Chicana with a senton bomb off the top rope to win the 1st fall. V-3 is a monster here to start the 2nd fall still working over the cut before Chicana finally gets some great punches in before totally NUKING V-3 with a tope suicida on the floor taking the 2nd fall by countout. Chicana starts the 3rd fall basically ripping V-3's mask completely off and he is now juicing and this is now a total bloodbath with Roberto Rangel having a hard time keeping control as Chicana is like a madman getting his revenge. Chicana would rip the mask completely off so V-3 answers back with a punt right to the nuts for a DDQ finish here. Fantastic match here and a slam dunk nomination.
June 27, 201213 yr comment_5508276 FWIW, the third fall still really bothers me, but I'm inclined to think that if both of you guys feel that strongly about it, it should probably go on. I mean, I am the guy who said "no" to David vs. Flair, the first Baddstreet match, and the cage elimination Baddstreet match, while nominating Kevin/Madril vs. Kabuki/Dragon, Hayes vs. Lothario, and Mil vs. Perez. The matches selected should be informed by my opinions, but when I'm an obvious extreme outlier, those opinions might be better off ignored. I'm not changing my vote just yet. I want to see how the rest of the set shapes up. But this feels like something that you guys shouldn't have to waste a personal pick on just because I'm being weird.
