It moves a little slowly at the beginning, but kicks really into gear at the end, especially focused around the Cota v. Cochisse feud, then end has both guys bloody and beating on each other. Always fun to see Rayo do his stuff too, and Bennetto is a new favorite of mine. Solid stuff Perro Aguayo/El Satanico/MS1 vs. La Fiera/Cien Caras/Herodes This felt like it was building to a bloody crazy finish, and it never really got there. MS1 was really great, his punches and facial expression ruled. I also loved the crazy dive train, but it ended with Cien fouling Perro and I think it needed a bigger ending. I could see someone else nominating this, but I think it falls a little short. Jerry Estrada vs. Atlantis - Mexican Middleweight Title 11/30/84 I like title match lucha as a style, and I normally really dig the story of the rudo showing his technical lucha skill, but you don't really buy a ticket to see Jerry Estrada work the mat, and Atlantis wasn't really bringing enough to the table, to push this to the next level Sangre Chicana vs. Villano III Really great match, with Sangre Chicana again being absolutely king sized, brawling, bleeding and winning with a great tope. Totally intense and something I could see finishing high. It is very, very dark though, with parts of the match hard to see. I wonder if there is anyway we could lighten the video somehow.

Cota was such a great sleazebag rudo, and Cochisse was an excellent foil for him. Bloody, brawly fun for everyone. Perro Aguayo/El Satanico/MS1 vs. La Fiera/Cien Caras/Herodes I liked this way more than Phil, and I think it's actually a pretty easy nomination. Crazy, all-out brawl that built to a great mano a mano Perro/Cien exchange where Cien eventually flips out and fouls Perro. Maybe not an ideal finish, but I don't think it hurt the match, and everything else leading up to it was through the roof. Cien was totally king-sized beating the shit out of dudes. Definitely the kind of match where you watch it and then listen to Meltzer's anti-Dinamitas shit and just shake your head. Everyone here wrestled like the guys on the other team owed them money. Jerry Estrada vs. Atlantis - Mexican Middleweight Title 11/30/84 I was kinda curious how Jerry would fare in a lucha title match setting. He did OK, but this is inessential. Sangre Chicana vs. Villano III My opinion on this is Phil's opinion on Perro/Satanico/MS1 vs. Cien/Fiera/Herodes. Two kick-ass falls followed by a third fall finish that really cut the balls off of it as a nomination. Wild, bloody brawl with Chicana taking an ass-kicking most of the way through, making a dramatic comeback to tie things up, and then immediately falling prey to an extremely forced, nonsensical double DQ that brings everything to a grinding halt. This feels like a slam dunk extra, but not a nomination.
