But nothing really set it apart. 2. Baba/Wajima v. Tiger Jeet Singh/A. Sheik (01/10/87) - Not as bad as I expected. Singh at least got the crowd going by cheating against Baba, and Wajima showed some fire. Nothing close to setworthy, but I didn't want to claw my eyes out. 3. Yoshiaki Yatsu v. Pete Roberts (03/28/87) - I like Roberts, and everything they did looked swell, but again, nothing stood out. 4. Ric Flair v. Jumbo Tsuruta (NWA Title, 05/10/87) - This might be the worst match I've seen from these two. The fans didn't buy Jumbo's chances of winning the belt, so they didn't much react when he was in the figure four or got screwed by a ref bump. Both guys appeared to be on autopilot, and that's not going to cut it when we have three great matches from them headed for the set.
September 9, 201015 yr comment_5455473 Animal Hamaguchi & Yoshiaki Yatsu vs. Art Crews & Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy (3/12/87) This was a fun little match. Giant Baba & Hiroshi Wajima vs. A. Sheik (Jerry Stubbs) & Tiger Jeet Singh (1/10/87) This could've been way worse but for them it wasn't terrible. Yoshiaki Yatsu vs. Pete Roberts (3/28/87) This was okay. NWA World Heavyweight Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair © vs. Jumbo Tsuruta (3/10/87) This was a good match but I agree with Will in that it felt like a pedestrian effort at times and they went to their formula for most of the match. We got some great matches between these two already moving forward so this one doesn't have to be on the block.
