Posted May 5, 201015 yr comment_5450474 I saw this listing and thought, "mayhem and violence." Sure enough, that's what these teams delivered. They did a lot of crazy brawling around ringside. Hansen took a huge amount of punishment, bleeding like a slaughtered steer. They produced a rare cool double countout here. Hara held Hansen up for Tenryu's lariat, but Hansen ducked out of the way and Tenryu annihilated his partner. Then Hansen whipped around and dropped Tenryu with the western lariat. And they were all dead like characters from a Shakespearean tragedy. They delivered enough crazy fun to pull a nomination. All Japan Classics 154
June 16, 201015 yr comment_5452063 Stan Hansen & Ted Dibiase vs. Tenyru & Ashura Hara, 7/23/87 (All Japan Classics 154) - Tenryu and Hansen come out of the gate firing bombs. Dibiase slows things down with a headlock but Tenryu gets the tag to Hara who locks in a chinlock on Ted. Now it is Stan’s turn with Hara and Hara gets the best of him allowing the tag to Tenryu who works over Stan’s leg. Finally, Ted comes in, drops an elbow and the gaigin take over with Ted attacking Tenryu on the outside. Once Ted comes in the ring however, he proves to be the weak link and the natives take over. Tenryu misses an elbow drop off the top allowing Hansen to get the tag and he starts kicking GT’s ass. Out on the floor, Stan had the advantage but Hara and Tenryu double team Hansen including a spike piledriver on the concrete. Ah shit, Hansen is still fighting back. If there was ever a countout ending, that should have been it. It descends into chaos eventually anyway as all four brawl outside. Inside, Stan is a bloody mess and the natives can’t put him away. More brawling and we get a countout. Man, there were parts of this match I loved and other parts I could do without. I loved the brawling and wild feel towards the end but no selling a spike piledriver? Come on!!! I am used to no selling regular piledrivers but not the spike piledrivers. Anyway, mild nomination.
September 11, 201015 yr comment_5455528 PWF Tag Titles: Ted DiBiase & Stan "The Lariat" Hansen © vs. Revolution (Ashura Hara & Genichiro Tenryu) (7/23/87) DiBiase now has his ribs taped so that is a target. Hot damn Hansen & Tenryu chopping the shit out of each other to start the match set the pace as it would evolve into both teams just kicking ass but there wasn't much crowd heat going on here which sucked because the action was fierce. Hansen would juice after some wild brawling on the floor and Revolution took it to him before we had the wild finish which looked like a fuckin car crash for a double countout. This was simply awesome and a definite nomination.
