Posted May 14, 201015 yr comment_5450839 (Real World Tag League match, 18:01, 11/29/89) - Furnas appeared to tweak his knee while botching his cocky backflip, but this still turned into a pretty good match. The smaller team couldn't do much with Jumbo but made some hay by working on Yatsu's head (he still had the funky headgear going.) I dug Yatsu fighting his way out of trouble with headbutts on Furnas. The action got really hot after that with Jumbo even eating some big double team moves. Then, he did one of those great Jumbo endings, where he just hurled Kroffat to the mat, then spiked him with the backdrop suplex. I wouldn't call it a high-end performance from either team, but the finishing run was exciting enough that I'll throw it on the block. All Japan Classics 201
June 16, 201015 yr comment_5452067 Doug Furnas & Dan Kroffat vs. Jumbo Tsuruta & Yoshiaki Yatsu, 11/29/89 (All Japan Classics 201) - Jumbo dominates the Cams after Furnas appears to injure his knee. However, when Yatsu comes in with his protective headgear, the Cams go to town on him… double headbutt, superkick, slamming a chair on his head outside… all good. Yatsu gets the tag to Jumbo and he goes back to making the Can-Ams his personal bitches. HE also allows Yatsu to get some revenge. Nice spot where Kroffat is the foreigner in peril but hits a DDT on Yastu to get the tag. The can Ams go bac to their high powered attack and knocking Yatsu loopy with Jumbo having to save. When Jumbo comes in, he gets attacked but throws Kroffat down and ends the match with the backdrop driver. Another great tag match I have watched today. This se tis going to be so hard to whittle down.
September 18, 201015 yr comment_5455902 Real World Tag League: Jumbo Tsuruta & Yoshiaki Yatsu vs. The Can-Am Express (Doug Furnas & Dan Kroffat) (11/29/89) Yatsu still is wearing the headgear here but this is like a dream matchup here. Furnas hit his dropkick on Jumbo then tried his backflip afterwards but his left knee landed on the bottom rope which looked like it hurt although he still landed his bullrush on Jumbo. Yatsu would come in and they would actually work on his head which was good but when Jumbo comes in the mood changes as they don't get much offense on him. There was a botch here that was pretty bad in that Kroffat was supposed to wait for a tag by Furnas before he hit a cross body block on Yatsu but he went ahead and jumped anyway as Furnas was in the corner going for the tag. The referee just let it go and then Jumbo would come in to kill Kroffat with a high knee then giving Furnas one as well. The natives then worked over Kroffat good getting some nearfalls until Furnas makes some saves then gets the tag. Furnas cleans house press slamming Yatsu like he was Dynamite Kid then they worked him over with double team moves setting up a fun stretch run which ended up Jumbo drilling Kroffat with a backdrop driver. This was a solid match and moves forward.
