TAPE #A1424: WORLD CLASS WRESTLING from 1983: DAVID VON ERICH v KAMALA- a good, bloody match. CHRIS ADAMS v JIMMY GARVIN- good match where Adams wins the American Title. KERRY VON ERICH & ICEMAN PARSONS v THE SUPER DESTROYERS KEVIN VON ERICH v TERRY GORDY- another tremendous match. The Freebirds pummel Kevin after the match ERNIE LADD v KAMALA TERRY GORDY & JIMMY GARVIN v CHRIS ADAMS & JOHNNY MANTELL NO DQ: KEVIN & MIKE VON ERICH v TERRY GORDY & BUDDY ROBERTS- if the Freebirds win, Michael Hayes gets to return to Texas. If the Freebirds lose, Terry and Buddy must go elsewhere. I actually thought this was the end of the Freebirds' Texas run! Shows how naive I was... Anyway, a "Santa Claus" in after the match, and Bill Mercer gets in a classic line: "I don't think that's actually Santa Claus....I think it's Michael Hayes!!". RIC FLAIR v DAVID VON ERICH- excellent match, but horribly booked. Flair flagrantly tosses David over the top rope for an "autmaticDQ", but referee Davis Manning refuses to DQ the challenger. I know the local has to look god, but how deep can the NWA champ be buried? KERRY VON ERICH v MISSING LINK DAVID VON ERICH v TERRY GORDY- another excellent match! RIC FLAIR v CHRIS ADAMS for the NWA title. KEVIN VON ERICH v TERRY GORDY- in 1983 IMO...Gordy was the best Freebird, and Kevin was the best Von Erich. Super match! MICHAEL HAYES & TERRY GORDY v KAMALA & MISSING LINK MICHAEL HAYES, TERRY GORDY & BUDDY ROBERTS v KAMALA, MISSING LINK & SUPER DESTROYER #2- this match turns into a HUGE brawl where the Von Erichs help the Freebirds. Yet when the Von Erichs offer a handshake, it tuens into a Von Erichs v Freebirds brawl! JUNKYARD DOG v MISSING LINK from Texas Stadium. BADSTREET MATCH: FRITZ, KEVIN & MIKE VON ERICH v THE FREEBIRDS (Hayes, Gordy & Roberts) from Texas Stadium. MICHAEL HAYES, TERRY GORDY, BUDDY ROBERTS & KILLER KHAN v KABUKI, MISSING LINK & THE SUPER DESTROYERS KERRY VON ERICH v RIC FLAIR- Kerry defends the NWA title against Flair in an EXCELLENT MATCH- far better match then the one from Texas Stadium. SUPER DESTROYERS v ICEMAN PARSONS & BUCK ZUMHOFF KERRY VON ERICH v MISSING LINK BAD STREET MATCH: KERRY, KEVIN & MIKE VON ERICH v MICHAEL HAYES, TERRY GORDY & BUDDY ROBERTS from Ft. Worth. INCREDIBLE MATCH- one of the top 10 mathes of the 80's! KERRY VON ERICH v GINO HERNANDEZ- Gino returns after winning the American title in a ficticious match, and pins Kerry en route to his mega push. KEVIN VON ERICH v KILLER KHAN- Michael Hayes runs in and attacks Killer Khan. Turns into a three way brawl. TERRY GORDY v KILLER KHAN- the two engage in a GREAT BRAWL, then the ring fills with the Freebirds and Akbars guys...and the brawl gets wilder! ICEMAN PARSONS & SKIP YOUNG v THE PRETTY YOUNG THINGS (Koko Ware & Norvall Austin) KAMALA v RICK ROOD (later known as Rick Rude)- This match is actually from 1983, and Rood gets completely squashed. KERRY VON ERICH, MIKE VON ERICH & BOBBY FULTON v GINO HERNANDEZ, CHRIS ADAMS & JAKE ROBERTS from the 1984 Cotton Bowl show. The heels win the titles, and Gino Hernandez now has THREE title belts! RIC FLAIR v CHRIS ADAMS- very good match! MIDNIGHT EXPRESS v THE FANTASICS- another tremendous match! THE PRETTY YOUNG THINGS v THE FANTASICS KEVIN VON ERICH v CHRIS ADAMS- EXCELLENT MATCH!! KILLER KHAN v CHICK DONOVAN- Kevin Von Erich runs in after Khan.

THE GRAPPLER & MISSING LINK v JOHNY MANTELL & DAVE PETERSON LANCE VON ERICH v KILLER BROOKS RICK RUDE v ICEMAN PARSONS KAMALA v ONE MAN GANG BRIAN ADIAS v JACK VICTORY CAGE MATCH: JOHN TATUM v SCOTT CASEY- I thought cages were to prevent outside intereference, but Missy Hyatt and Sunshine are inside the cage. KERRY & KEVIN VON ERICH v GINO HERNANDEZ & CHRIS ADAMS, with Terry Gordy and Brian Adias referees. Gordy hints toward a heel turn, while Gino and Chris hint toward their split. ICEMAN PARSONS & BRIAN ADIAS v KABUKI & THE GRAPPLER RICK RUDE v LANCE VON ERICH JOHN TATUM & MISSY HYATT v SCOTT CASEY & SUNSHINE ICEMAN PARSONS v JACK VICTORY GINO HERNANDEZ v TOMMY MONTANA- Chris Adams goes after his former partner.
