Bruiser Brody vs. "Maniac" Mark Lewin (8/26/85)

 

Slow paced brawl that features Lewin choking Brody with a wire and the match starts kicking up as TV time runs out.

 

World Class TV Title: Steve Simpson © vs. Jos LeDuc (9/15/86)

 

Odd seeing Jos in World Class and with hair. Simpson shows fire here and tries to fight off LeDuc but Jos uses his size to maintain the advantage early in the match. Joe Rinelli would count down the minutes by minute so you could tell where this was going but Pringle would ring the bell to throw off Simpson as he started his comeback but it didn't work. Simpson would work over LeDuc until he got tossed to the floor with 30 seconds left stopping his momentum and the match would go to a draw. This was okay.

 

Then we get promos by Spike Johnson, Matt Borne, & Buzz Sawyer.

 

Dingo Warrior vs. Mark Youngblood (9/15/86)

 

Not much of anything.

 

WCCW World Heavyweight Title: Black Bart © vs. Steve Simpson (9/15/86)

 

This was supposed to be Bart vs. Adams but Adams had "federal problems" so the fans got to pick his opponent. Bart arrives to the ring riding a horse and that's awesome. Simpson would take a shot at Bart before the vote which would clinch him his spot and he comes out firing at the bell giving Bart a run for his money. Bart would go to the floor to regroup then went on the attack after he got back in the ring just roughhousing Simpson for a good period of time before trying a body press which sent him over the top rope to the floor in a hard bump for a big dude like Bart. This would kickstart Simpson's comeback until Bart would grab Simpson in the air giving him a Hot Shot on the top rope to get the win. This was a fun match but not quite a nomination.

 

Gary Hart then comes out for a promo on Bruiser Brody and announces that he wants Abby to use his dreaded sleeper hold.

 

World Class Tag Titles Tournament - Semifinals: "Gentleman" Chris Adams & Lance Von Erich vs. Dingo Warrior & Socko (9/1/86)

 

I have no idea on who this Socko guy is but he jobs quickly then gets destroyed by Dingo after the match. We even got some Doyle King on color commentary here which was great.

 

Stretcher Match: Abdullah the Butcher vs. Mighty Zulu (9/15/86)

 

This is nothing but a brawl featuring Zulu pounding Abby with the house mic so hard that he ripped the wires out of it with Abby being a bloody mess. Zulu beats Abby enough that they try to put him on the stretcher but he rolls off. Abby breaks out the white stick and he starts pounding on Zulu including dropping a big elbow on the floor but Zulu gets up throwing the stretcher away. The fight returns to the ring with Abby continuing dropping his elbows before Abby locks on his nerve hold putting Zulu to sleep and they put Zulu on a stretcher carrying him out of the ring. This was a wild bloody brawl which may have been one of the best matches of Zulu's career so fuck I'm throwing it up for consideration.

 

Then we get promos by Adias, Brody, & The Von Erichs.

 

World Class TV Title: Steve Simpson © vs. Dingo Warrior (9/22/86)

 

There is lots of clipping here.

 

Jos LeDuc vs. Brian Adias (9/22/86)

 

This was an okay match with Adias working hard but LeDuc was very slow and methodical here and gets the pin by putting his feet on the ropes after Adias missed a dropkick. Interesting finish.

 

Elimination Match: Bruiser Brody, Cowboy Scott Casey, & Lance Von Erich vs. Abdullah the Butcher, "Maniac" Matt Borne, & "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer (9/22/86)

 

Abby would put his sleeper on Casey early so Brody would break that up and tagged in where he went to battle with Abby knocking down Rick Hazzard in the process then taking the battle to the floor getting themselves eliminated. The match would become normal just as TV time would run out.

 

Next we get a promo by Larry Sharpe where he introduces Crusher Yurkov.

In his book, Gary Hart talks about the original idea that led to being Dingo Warrior being the team of Dingo and Socko but that he never found a Socko so he made Hellwig "Dingo Warrior" to feud with "Modern Day Warrior" Kerry like how One Man Gang was the "Halsted Street Warrior." So yeah, I have no idea who he is since he was clearly wrong.
