Posted May 28, 201015 yr comment_5451364 This starts with a promo by the Dynamic Duo talking shit on the Von Erichs as usual and it's great as usual. 2 out of 3 falls: The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Brian Adias & Sweet Brown Sugar (5/20/85) Now this is more like it when it comes to MX matches as they are able to work their style here as the action went back and forth at a fast pace with everyone being crisp in their moves. MX was awesome of course working together as a team but so was Adias & Sugar and it proved to me that Adias was at his best teaming with black guys (Iceman & Sugar). I loved the headscissors work by Sugar and especially Condrey who had a great way of getting a grounded headscissors. The faces took the first fall as Adias got Eaton with a sunset flip that Eaton went down for the mat for like a fuckin champ. Adias started the second fall strong with a sleeper on Condrey but the MX would take over with Adias fighting away before getting the tag to Sugar who cleans house on Condrey before Eaton would run in with a knee to the back. Again the faces stay strong even getting a double dropkick on Eaton but the constant doubleteams take a toll and Condrey finishes off Adias with a modified belly-to-belly suplex to take the second fall. Third fall features MX bumping and selling a good bit before Adias gets thrown to the floor really hard allowing the MX to work him over but Adias would get a sunset flip nearfall before getting the hot tag to Sugar setting off the 4-way brawl. Then we had a great finish as Sugar leapfrogged over Condrey only to eat a flying clothesline by Eaton to end the match. This was a pretty damn solid match and a very easy nomination. Next is a promo by Corny on Sunshine and her boys. Good stuff. World Class TV Title: Cowboy Scott Casey © vs. Thor (Kevin Kelly) (5/27/85) Thor is very green and this is clipped up. Casey looked good in the minute we got and even broke out the Fujinami backdrop suplex into a backbreaker for the finish. Gino comes out for a promo on Kevin where he rips him up so Kevin comes out and they have one helluva brawl so David Manning comes out as Scott Casey is talking and demands that the wrestlers come out for their match now. "Handsome Halfbreed" Gino Hernandez vs. Kevin Von Erich (5/27/85) This is one of the damndest fights I've seen on the World Class discs as Kevin is nuts here leading to Adams running out followed up by Kerry and David Manning even juices here. There were some tremendous punches thrown here by everyone and this was a fantastic segment. Grand slam extra material. Then we get another great promo by Corny on Sunshine & Casey. World Class TV Title: Cowboy Scott Casey © vs. "Loverboy" Dennis Condrey (4/29/85) Condrey attacks Casey at the bell and works him over while Casey still is wearing his chaps but he wuold make a comeback and finshes him off with a fucking sweet atomic drop into a backdrop suplex for the win. Rip Oliver would jump him after the match but Casey holds his own before attacking Corny where he rips off that green jacket. This was the beginning of the green jacket angle with more clips of this angle following this match and this is extra material. Then we get clips of the beginning of Kabuki/Kerry vs. Adams & Dr. Death but TV time runs out. The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Mike Bond & Sweet Brown Sugar (5/17/85) Sugar looks good here but this is a competitive squash. Cowboy Scott Casey vs. Kelly Kiniski (5/17/85) Decent match. Texas Heavyweight Title: "Handsome Halfbreed" Gino Hernandez © vs. Brian Adias (5/17/85) This features some damn good MUGA style matwork to start with both men going in and out of headscissors with good counters. Gino would take over though by grabbing Adias by the trunks and throwing him to the floor but Adias would fight back fairly quickly in the World Class formula style as the heel can't have a long control section at all. Adias goes for some nearfall attempts to steal the win but Gino would hook him in an inside cradle to get the win. This was a short but very fun match and a maybe nomination. Next we get the end of the Fantastics/MX match from 6/3/85 featuring the angle where Bobby Fulton gets his ribs injured and they have to carry him out. Then we get promos by Adias & Casey.
