Posted May 30, 201015 yr comment_5451408 This starts with promos by Pringle, Rude, & Missy about their upcoming tag match with Casey & Link. Kelly Kiniski vs. Jim Powell (9/2/85) Kiniski wins fairly easily. Kevin then comes out for a promo giving an update on Mike's health condition. "Hollywood" John Tatum vs. Cowboy Scott Casey (9/2/85) Tatum is awesome here bumping and selling his ass off for quite a long time to start the match with Casey looking solid also. Tatum gets some offense in nothing spectacular just pounding on Casey but he would miss a running smash into the ropes taking a header to the floor allowing Casey to make a comeback. It would turn into a slugfest with Casey breaking out european uppercuts and backhand strikes before getting a nearfall with a powerslam. Casey would get an O'Connor Roll but Tatum would cut it back using the tights to get the win in a fun match. I'm throwing this one on the block as both men were pretty solid here. Gary Hart comes out for a promo mainly talking about Killer Brooks not showing up for the show and he is using Jack Victory in his spot. The Dynamic Duo then comes out for a great promo with bags of hair and scissors talking about taking everyone's hair. Great stuff. Bruiser Brody vs. One Man Gang (9/2/85) What else would you expect here but a wild brawl both inside and outside the ring with both men throwing bombs. Gang would work a nerve hold though ala Kamala but it wasn't too long before the brawl would get back going. Brody would break out the chair and jabbed Gang in the throat with it as the crowd goes nuts then hits Gang with a dropkick after he enters the ring before dropping the King Kong Kneedrop. Gary Hart would run in though for the DQ and Gang would break out the chain to choke out Brody then pounded on him after the match but Brody would make his own comeback until Hart attacked Brody which would bring out Kerry to run them off. This was a tremendous brawl and a great post-match with the match going just over 5 minutes so I think this deserves a nomination. Texas Heavyweight Title: Brian Adias © vs. "Handsome Halfbreed" Gino Hernandez (9/2/85) This is something as before the match they GO TO THE BACK ala TNA to Brody being bandaged up saying that he wants to team with the Von Erichs later but they won't let him. The match is then JIP and Gino would regain the title after hitting him with knux as Adias argued with Rick Hazzard. Next we get promos by Casey & Iceman who rules it on his. No DQ Match w/Gino in a cage above the ring: Kevin Von Erich vs. "Gentleman" Chris Adams (9/2/85) FUCKING GINO is rocking it in a suit that would make Ric Flair jealous. The story here is that Kevin isn't at his best level because he has been at the hospital with Mike for the past few nights. These two had some memorable singles matches at the end of 1984 but this one is different because those matches were still early in the feud where in this one you had a feud that was at close to a year long with so much hatred between the two plus you throw in Gino inside the cage and the No DQ stip allowing both men to throw away the rules. Both men just take it to each other and it would end with Gino throwing down the knux he used from earlier but Kevin would steal them and used them on Adams to win this match. Kevin would then strip Gino down after the match after the cage was lowered and then they locked him in the cage so they could cut his hair but Kerry would run out to make the save. This was great stuff and a slam dunk nomination. "Maniac" Mark Lewin vs. Iceman King Parsons (9/2/85) TV time would run out here. Then there is stuff I've seen already.
