World Class TV Title: Buddy Roberts © vs. Steve Simpson (2/17/86)

Roberts was really solid here working his unorthodox style just punishing Simpson. I loved the reverse chinlock because it looked like he was really cranking it back. Roberts also had some great heel mannerisms here and he was one of those guys that was just a natural heel like Simpson is a natural babyface. Simpson makes a good comeback here getting some nearfall attempts over cross body blocks. Roberts though would cutback an O'Connor Roll by Simpson using the tights to get the win. This was a really fun match but falls just short of a nomination.

"Hollywood" John Tatum vs. Iceman King Parsons (2/17/86)

Tatum & Missy are having issues here with him losing matches so he has promised her he won't lose again. Speaking of being great heels, here is Tatum selling like crazy using great facials and taking good bumps with Missy being Missy. Iceman would have Tatum beat on a couple of occassions but Missy would break it up forcing Iceman to chase her around the ring but when he comes back in, Tatum catches him with a shot and pins him with Missy knocking his foot off the rope. Great performance by Tatum but not a nomination.

Next is another great promo by the Freebirds regarding being champs followed up by promos by Adias & Sunshine.

2 out of 3 falls: "Ravishing" Rick Rude vs. Brian Adias (2/17/86)

Rude wanted his normal absolute silence and respect as he took off his robe to show off his muscles but Adias got tired of his hemming and hawing so he snuck up behind him and got an O'Connor Roll to win the first fall in less than a minute angering Rude & Pringle. The 2nd fall then gets completely cut out and we jump right to the 3rd fall with Rude selling his right leg like Adias really worked on it hard. Rude would then take the 3rd fall fairly easily.

Then we get promos by the Von Erichs, Rude & Pringle, and Tatum & Missy featuring a confrontation between Tatum & Rude over Rude saying that he would get excited seeing Missy stripped.

Marc then interviews Ken Mantell who makes the announcement that World Class has left the NWA and is becoming it's on worldwide entity. Extra material.

Michael Hayes vs. Lance Von Erich (2/17/86)

Hayes really works over Lance early even breaking out his awesome left handed punch. It wasn't long before Gordy & Buddy showed up so that would bring out Kerry & Kevin to even the sides. Lance begins to make a comeback and that's when the brawl starts with everyone fighting. Good stuff.

Brian Adias vs. Michael Hayes (2/7/86)

Hayes is awesome here during the pre-match just being Michael Hayes. This was a back and forth match until Hayes sent Adias flying over the top rope to the floor where he landed on his right knee so of course Hayes would work on that when he came back in the ring. Then we got a fucked up finish, Hayes wasn't working on it long before Lubich called for the bell and awarded Hayes the match to save Adias. Kerry would run out and he would send Hayes running. Lubich would then reverse the decision and awarded the match to Adias which was even more ridiculous.

Rude comes out for his first live promo as the "world champion" and this was fine.
