I may need to rewatch this Von Erichs vs. Hayes, Roberts & Jimmy Garvin - Watching Kevin work, I wonder who win in a battle of no-selling between him and Ole. Could be an interesting match. This was fun enough but there wasn’t any real structure or story within the match. I don’t know man, I like all of these guys but I just wasn’t feeling it. Maybe I need to re-watch it at a later date. Worth) - Perfectly acceptable wrestling early on. There was one point that looked like Iceman whiffed a dropkick but both Adams and Ice covered nicely as Ice sold missing it and Adams didn’t take the leap outside it looked like he was about to take. Damn clipping takes its toll. Shit, some of these strikes look pretty stiff and both guys are selling the shots. Oops, David went for a Jumbo knee but Kamala held onto the ropes. Looked awkward. However Kamala does a double throat thrust that sends David down. There is some melodramatic bumping with David leaping over the top rope after a Kamala chop. David gets back in the ring and Kamala starts biting him and chopping him some more. Kamala gives the big splash but David kicks out. That should have been match. A bloody David hooks the claw on Kamala, Akbar interferes so David puts the claw on Akbar allowing Kamala to recover. With more Akbar interference, Kerry comes down and the match is thrown out. There was some fun stuff in here but I would only give it a low-level nomination at best. I don’t see this one finding its way on the set. McAdam 2146 Disc 3 Killer Tim Brooks vs. Scott Casey (Parade of Champions) - Casey shows Brooks up early by using Brooks and the ref to flip out of an armbar. That looked cool. However, Brooks takes control and Casey ends up outside. Gary Hart gets involved and rams Casey into the ringpost making him easy prey for Brooks on the inside. Well that was quick. The Fantastics vs. John Tatum & David Peterson - A fun tag where Tatum and the Fantastics do their shtick but nothing memorable enough to put on the set. Kabuki vs. Mark Lewin - I have seen some good Mark Lewin matches but not so far in Texas. Kabuki is still a great babyface. Still, this isn’t high end Kabuki. Kelly Kiniski vs. Tommy Montana - Kiniski wins Jack Victory vs. Brian Adias - No finish but I wasn’t feeling this. One Man Gang vs. Iceman King Parsons (Taped Fist Match) - They dance around each other like boxers early on until OMG nails Ice with a big fist. Iceman has some nice punches. Ice gets Gang tied up in the ropes after a big thump. Lubich pulls Gang’s arm over the ropes, since it was the only thing holding him up, he takes a nasty spill to the floor. That looked like it hurt. They are really playing this up like a boxing match including rounds but this is more entertaining than Piper vs. Mr. T, I guess. 2nd round played more like a wrestling match but no big bbumps or moves, just hard punches. Ice uses his speed in the 3rd round to really unload on OMG. It looks like he is gassed and big punch takes Gang down and Ice wins the match while Kerry handles Gary Hart on the outside. I liked this enough to give it a nomination but it isn’t something I would fight for. However, the unique stipulation might be enough to make it stand out on the set. Super Destroyer vs. Leaping Lanny Poffo - Whoa, didn’t know Lanny did a stint in TX. Must have been during the Mid South/TX tradeoffs. Lanny keeps control of an armbar while frustrating Destroyer early on. Lanny goes for the moonsault but meets the knees. Super D takes over and squeezes Lanny in a bearhug. LAnny fights back but D ends it with a 2nd rope superplex. Jimmy Garvin vs. Chris Adams - I Plan on watching these all together so I will wait until the set is put together so I don’t get confused. IN this one, Chris Adams wins the match as Precious and Sunshine break out into a catfight. Jimmy Garvin vs. Chris Adams (Cage Match) - Ok, never mind what I said about watching these all together. I want to see a decent match today and hopefully this is better than OMG-Ice. Oh well, clipped early on. Fuck this McAdam tease bullshit.
