Posted June 3, 201015 yr comment_5451541 This starts with the full Tatum/Missy promo that cuts off on the last disc and the Fantastics run them off. Kevin Von Erich vs. "Hollywood" John Tatum (3/3/86) This was an interesting matchup as Tatum was total chickenshit heel here as usual unlike the other heels that Kevin was working at the time so Kevin got to do his headscissors spots and a sweet standing dropkick. Tatum of course bumps and sells like a madman here and Missy would get involved as she slapped Kevin as he had Tatum pinned which allowed him to get the best of Kevin but not for long as Kevin got a sunset flip for the win. Short but fun little match that I wish could've been longer. Bruiser Brody vs. Michael Hayes (3/3/86) Lowrance tells us that they have a minute left of time so this won't be long. Hayes jumps Brody as soon as he walks in the ring and TV time runs out. Tatum & Missy then cut a promo about the Fantastics then bring back Skandor Akbar who they want to take care of the Missing Link with Kamala. Kerry & Kevin then cuts a promo about Mike coming back to Fort Worth the next week. Iceman then comes out and cuts a promo on Rude & Regal followed up by Rude & Pringle. The Missing Link vs. Michael Hayes (3/10/86) Hayes calls Sunshine a frustrated broad before the match saying that she desires him. Sunshine then said that she likes men with short hair and don't wear dresses so he chases her around the ring until Link would bring him in and of course TV time would run out. Akbar comes out for a promo talking about how Devastation Inc. is back in World Class for good, well until at least the next 2 weeks until they joined the UWF. Iceman then cuts a promo about his good friend Brickhouse Brown coming into World Class for his first run there some 3 years before the Black Birds. Good stuff. Freebirds then come out in full calling out Brody talking about kicking his ass all the way to Mexico. Buddy mentions that he has to go to San Francisco the next week so he won't able to defend his TV title the next week which the pot would be at $10,000 so Gordy says that he would take his spot. Brody would come out and demanded that Gordy show up which he would for one of the damndest brawls ever in World Class. Slam dunk extra. Sunshine then comes out and talks about Link loving kids and her hatred for Missy followed up by Kerry & Kevin talking about the brawl. World Class TV Title: Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy © vs. Lance Von Erich (3/24/86) Gordy is defending for Buddy since he is away in San Francisco accepting the "Sexiest wrestler award." This really picked up when Gordy just planted Lance with a piledriver and the fans were pretty into him here as he deadlifted him with a German Suplex for a nearfall. Gordy just pounds on Lance and weakens him with a sleeper but Lance would make a comeback getting a sleeper of his own which would bring out Buddy Roberts what a shock. Gordy would recover and went for the Oriental Spike but missed and as Gordy tried an O'Connor Roll in the ropes, he collided with Buddy and Lance would get the pin thus winning the title and Buddy losing $10,000. Gordy was awesome here and made this match good. I'm throwing it on the block. Buddy then makes fun of Mike Von Erich who was in the ring with his brother Chris starting a brawl with Hayes coming in which would see Chris come in with a chair to attack Roberts but Hayes would steal that so Gordy would come out and locked on the Spike as the others had Chris cornered. Kerry would fly out to the ring and just bashed on the Birds before they left running. This was great stuff and a slam dunk extra. Gordy & Buddy then get into it as they are cutting a promo before Gordy goes off on Brody and this is awesome. World Class Six-Man Tag Titles: The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy, Michael Hayes, & Buddy Roberts) vs. Kerry, Kevin, & Lance Von Erich (3/17/86) Gordy is bandaged up from his brawl with Brody earlier. Kevin would hit a flying dropkick off the top rope on Buddy right after the match starts and it sets the pace for this war. Lance is in the ring a lot here early on both giving and taking punishment before tagging in a fired up Kerry who nails Buddy with a discus punch and when he goes to tag no one wants in but Gordy would soon oblige. This ended up being just an awesome match with everyone being on top of their game and working their ass off. The finish was great too as Kerry had Roberts in an O'Connor Roll before Gordy went over and just destroyed him with a lariat with Buddy rolling on him to keep the titles. Like I said, this was an awesome match and a definite nomination.
