Posted June 3, 201015 yr comment_5451543 World Class TV Title: Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy © vs. Lance Von Erich (3/24/86) Gordy is defending for Buddy since he is away in San Francisco accepting the "Sexiest wrestler award." This really picked up when Gordy just planted Lance with a piledriver and the fans were pretty into him here as he deadlifted him with a German Suplex for a nearfall. Gordy just pounds on Lance and weakens him with a sleeper but Lance would make a comeback getting a sleeper of his own which would bring out Buddy Roberts what a shock. Gordy would recover and went for the Oriental Spike but missed and as Gordy tried an O'Connor Roll in the ropes, he collided with Buddy and Lance would get the pin thus winning the title and Buddy losing $10,000. Gordy was awesome here and made this match good. I'm throwing it on the block.
June 3, 201015 yr comment_5451574 Terry Gordy vs. Lance Von Erich (Fort Worth) - Good start with Lance hitting the arm drags crisp and clean. Lance clinches in the headlock and they work some pinning combos with Gordy grabbing the tights for a two. Oh shit, Gordy does a superkick to take Lance down followed by a piledriver. Sweet. Lance tries to reverse an Irish whip but gets met with another Gordy boot. Damn. Gordy is in control and tries to put Lance out with the sleeper to build for Lance’s comeback. However, Gordy hooks on another sleeper. I usually don’t like too many sleepers but they have worked it into the match nicely. Another comeback and a THIRD Gordy sleeper. Gordy tries another piledriver but Lance reverses it. Lance reverses an Irish Whip and Lance hooks in the sleeper. Good stuff. Ah man, Buddy Roberts joins us at ringside. Gordy tries to roll Lance up but Roberts accidentally hits Bam Bam instead and Lance gets the three count and the TV belt. So much better than the Hayes match. NOMINATION. Gordy and Roberts argue after the match. McAdam 2151 Disc 2
June 22, 201015 yr comment_5452222 Lance's early headlockery kinda killed my enthusiasm for this right out of the gate. Gordy's sleepers weren't quite so bad, as he did a nice job of interspersing them between really great looking offense. Still, Lance wasn't adding a whole lot to this match, and it's not like we have a shortage of great Gordy performances to choose from. I say "no".
