Posted June 3, 201015 yr comment_5451571 McAdam A702 Highlights Michael Hayes & Buddy Roberts vs. Al Madril & Jose Lothario - Al Madril and Buddy Roberts have a nice sequence early on before Lothario is tagged in. Hayes is selling big for Lothario and Madril. Really, the Freebirds are making Madril and Lothario look like a million bucks. Sound tag match with Madril playing FIP and when Lothario is tagged in, he gets dropped to the outside after Hayes pulls the top rope down. The Birds stomp a hole into the faces but David Von Erich runs in for the save after the Birds get a DQ. Yatsu Interview Great Kabuki vs. Checkmate - Kabuki works on the wrist of Checkmate so after a few minutes, Checkmate grabs Kabuki’s hair and punches him in the face. However, Kabuki regains control. On the outside, Yatsu comes out and attacks Kabuki resulting in the DQ. Ric Flair Interview with Freebirds Promo – EXTRA Terry Gordy vs. RIc Flair - Flair controls Gordy early on until they start slugging it out and Gordy drops Flair with a couple of bodyslams. Gordy locks in an abodominal stretch but Flair breaks. However, Gordy controls with punches until Flair gives Gordy a low blow. Flair takes over and throws in a Boston Crab and a single leg crab for good measure. Flair tries a back suplex but Gordy catches Flair in a sleeper. Flair ends up on the outside so Gordy maintains control. Flair gets control back and locks in the figure four. Gordy escapes and is right up with no damage. After a whip to the ropes, Gordy tries a body pres, misses Flair and hits his throat on the top rope so Flair gets the three count. This match was enjoyable to watch but hardly representative of the best either have to offer. I think you guys nominated it but I would not be sad if this was left off. Kimala Vignette King Kong Bundy Interview David Von Erich vs. Wild Bill Irwin - David works a headlock to keep Bill grounded. Bill fights back after a sleeper but David hooks on a stomach claw and Bill rakes the eyes to break it. Bill locks in an Indian Death Lock and starts working on David’s knee. Really solid work here. David picks up the win after a backslide. David Von Erich Interview The Mongol vs. Mike Bond - The Mongol sucks King Kong Bundy & Mongol Interview Ric Flair Interview (with Kevin match recap) Bronco Lubich & David Manning interrupt King Kong Bundy vs. Jose Lothario - Bundy jaws with the fans and this is slow to get started. Bundy works a headlock and Jose tries to keep Bundy on the ground with a leg stretch. Still, Jose fights back after being squashed. The match ends up as a time limit draw since they spent the first 7 minutes or so stalling. Skandor Akbar’s Army in the “jungle” with Kimala Interview Terry Gordy vs. David Von Erich (Handcuff Match) - Gordy stalls a long time before finally being handcuffed. David works an armbar… in a handcuff match. When Gordy gets control, he uses the chain to choke out David. And busts David open. David fights back and executes the claw. Gordy goes for a piledriver but David goes under his legs, yanks the chain to flip Gordy into a pin and the three count. Man, this was a letdown.
