McAdam 2152

Disc 1

Buzz Sawyer vs. Chris Adams (Fort Worth)

- Early on Sawyer goes charging into the ringpost so Adams works on the arm. That is so Wrestling 101. Too many matches where you don’t see that common sense. Hell, Adams holds onto the armbar with Sawyer giving him a freaking backbreaker. Nice. Adams holds on for dear life outside the ring when Sawyer tried to bail. The armbar work is fun and shows you don’t have to lay down and do nothing when you are working a body part. This is my favorite type of wrestling. Awesome way to break the freaking hold… Buzz starts BITING Adams leg. IT works briefly but Adams goes back to the arm. Buzz finally breaks free as Adams misses a body press and Buzz immediately headbutts him out of the ring. Buzz gives Adams a suplex on the concrete for good measure and starts biting him. Buzz starts working over Adams back with the big suplex, bearhug and nasty belly to belly. Hell he even resorts to a bearhug while laying on the ground. Oh shit, Buzz eats a SWEET superkick and Adams eats a Buzz Sawyer trademark powerslam in return. After the nice hot stretch run, Buzz gets the pin after reversing the Adams body press and grabbing the tights. On every set, there are matches you come out of never havng seen and knowing you are going to rank it high. This was better than any Flair match I have seen from WCCW so far. This will rank very high. STONE COLD LOCK for the set.

#1 Contender Contract on a Pole Battle Royal

- Adams spent a lot of time on the pole fighting for the contract with a clusterfuck of bodies reaching and grabbing him. In short order, he gets the contract.

Batten Twins vs. Grappler & Jerry Allen – Intros Only. Looks like the match I watched yesterday that had no ending. Hopefully they will show the match in its entirety on this tape. Nope they just cut to the aftermath. These tapes suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Abdullah the Butcher vs. Steve Simpson (Fort Worth)

- Abby kills Simpson. Simpson bleeds. Abby takes out a fork. Another match for an Abby comp but not this set.

-

Matt Borne vs. Mark Youngblood (Fort Worth)

- Incomplete

Matt Borne vs. Steve Simpson (Dallas)

- Borne spends most of the match punishing Simpson. Hell, Simpson gets in about as much offense as he did against Abby. Simpson fights back and this is turning into a pretty decent match. Ends in a time limit draw. Pretty decent match that would have been a low-level match but I am passed that point.

Brian Adias vs. Killer Tim Brooks

- The highlight was a nasty Jumbo knee that stopped Adias cold in his tracks.

Rick Rude, Blackjack Mulligan & Kabuki vs. Chris Adams, Kevin & Lance Von Erich

- Very similar to the Fort Worth match but I think Mulligan brought this one down with his no selling. Thankfully, the other five were on fire. I liked the match but the Forth Worth match was stronger. If it was a choice between the two, I pick the one with the One Man Gang finish. Plus, this one had a shitty finish with Mulligan getting DQed after throwing Kevin over the top.
