Posted June 4, 201015 yr comment_5451587 Chris Adams & Lance Von Erich vs. Rick Rude & Kabuki (Dallas) - The faces work on Kabuki’s arm but nothing exciting. Kabuki tags in Rude who takes over on Adams. Rude’s offense is really growing on me. Adams tries to fight back, runs at Kabuki in the corner and meets Kabuki’s foot. Kabuki starts attacking Chris’s eye. Right on! So simple and so smart. Rude takes over and punches the eye as well. Adams makes the hot tag to Lance and Lance works Kabuki over. Kabuki thrusts the throat, followed by a thrust kick and tags Rude who works on Lance’s back. All good so far. Oh nice, Lance reverses the bearhug but it doesn’t last long and he is stuck as FIP. Lance gets the claw on Rude and all four are in the ring. Pringle whacks Lance in the back and Rude gives a sweet lariat to get the pin on Lance. Good solid tag. I don’t know if I would fight for it but I want you guys to see it so consider this a nomination.
June 19, 201015 yr comment_5452153 "Gentleman" Chris Adams & Lance Von Erich vs. The Great Kabuki & "Ravishing" Rick Rude (5/23/86) This starts slow early with the faces working over Kabuki's left arm but it picks up when Rude tags in and he has a good exchange with Adams before Kabuki comes back in and they go back and forth until a Superkick catches Adams in the chin. Adams gets worked over some more before getting the tag to Lance who looks pretty clunky here on offense. Rude would stop Lance's charge with a bearhug but Lance would fight back with an iron claw before a 4-way brawl broke out and after some shitty punches by Lance, he would get hit by Percy's cane and ate a clothesline by Rude who would take the match. This had some good moments but Lance was pretty shitty here and drug this match down whenever he was in. I'm going no on a nomination.
June 21, 201015 yr comment_5452197 I'd have to go back and check, but I am almost 100% certain this is the same match that was on Romdam 51, even though that had a different date attached to it. It's a match I liked a bunch, and that I probably would've nominated if Kris and shoe hadn't already both said "no" to it. In the very, very off chance that this is a different but borderline identical match, my feelings for this are the same. I guess I could second it as a nomination, but I don't think any of us are going to the wall for this one, so I'm not sure there's a point.
