Posted June 4, 201015 yr comment_5451616 McAdam 2142 Disc 1 Buddy Roberts vs. Buck Zumhofe - Buddy plays good sportsman before the match and attacks Buck when he isn’t looking. Bad move as Buck wins in about 30 seconds without even taking off his jumpsuit. Buck Zumhofe vs. Kelly Kiniski - Ok match, nothing special. Problem is I don’t remember anything about it except Buzk working the armbar and Kelly holding onto a chinlock for a long time. Kiniski wins. Rip Oliver vs. Terry Daniels - Rip wins Billy Jack Haynes and Sunshine Interview Billy Jack Haynes vs. Shawn Michaels - HBK loses Terry Gordy vs. Ric Flair (Use this version) - Damn, Flair is getting some height on those bumps including a press slam and back body drop. Gordy goes for an early pin after the Flair Flop but the foot is on the ropes. Early moments are all the signature Flair spots until he gets caught in a Gordy sleeper. Flair rakes the eyes and pounds Gordy in the face. Nice. Gordy gets tossed outside and Flair takes over. Not for long as Gordy punches Flair in the face a few times for a close count. These two battle back and forth, each trying a different strategy when the previous strategy won’t work. Flair takes advantage with a front facelock using the ropes for leverage so Flair works on theneck before trying to set up a Figure Four. Later on, after Flair misses a knee drop, Gordy applies his own Figure-Four. Oh man, Gordy attempts the Oriental Spike later on and Flair is in full panic mode. A back body drop pin bu Flair results in a pin. This had some sloppy spots (botched small package, final pin) But I enjoyed the match. No complaints with a nomination here. I may have to revisit the 1983 match. The same nerdy guy from the Parade of Champions opens the show with “God Bless the USA”. Oh Christ. This sucks bad… so of course I am putting it on the set. The Grappler & Missing Link vs. Johnny Mantel & Jerry Allen - The Grappler wrestles most of the match with Link coming in for short spurts or a couple of moves. This lasted way too long and the Grappler finally ends it with a weak lariat. Just a match. Lance Von Erich vs. Killer Tim Brooks - Seen it Rick Rude vs. Iceman Parsons - Seen It
