Texas Bullrope Match: Black Bart vs. Cowboy Scott Casey vs. Black Bart (12/1/86)

 

Now this was very fun as Casey destroys Bart with the bell early on and Bart juiced hard. Bart would fight back though and would get the win but he would take some serious punishmetn as well as Casey and the punches were furious here. I liked this one a whole helluva lot and this goes on the block.

Casey wastes no time pounding Bart with the cowbell and he nis laying the shots in. One backhand shot just floors BArt so Casey starts choking him. Damn, Casey is sadistic and Bart is gushing blood. Bart's tired of getting his as kicked so he punches Casey in the balls to put him down. Now it is Bart's turn to bust Casey open. Casey chokes Bart and goes for the corners. Shit, that choke looks like it could rip Bart's head off. Bart gets loose and the rope flies off Bart's wrist. Bart pounds Casey in the head and gets the three count. Abrupt ending but they continue the brawl aftyer the match. So fun. Nomination.

Black Bart has been pretty consistently disappointing on these discs, and Scott Casey is really uneven, so I wouldn't normally be too excited about this match. But I knew you guys were both pretty high on this, and watching it, I can definitely see why. A bit short with an abrupt ending, but while it lasts, this is just nasty and violent as fuck. A great example of the whole being more than the sum of it's parts. This moves forward.
