Percy would also get involved as well which forced Lance to chase him around but Percy would still get his shots in. Lance would fight back though getting you guessed it an O'Connor Roll for a nearfall but Borne would keep the control countering Lance's attempts at offense. Lance came back though with a backslide which he struggled to get then an inside cradle for nearfalls. It looks like they are going to a draw and they end up doing that as both men continue to kick out of each other's pin attempts. For this era of World Class, this was one of the better matches and a good match overall so I'm throwing it up as a low-end nomination.
June 10, 201015 yr comment_5451816 Matt Borne vs. Lance Von Erich 12/29/86 (McAdam 2154 Disc 3) - Took awhile to get going as their wasn’t much going on early. The early part of the match was worked with Lance controlling a headlock for a long time. Eventually, Borne controls and keeps Lance on the outside of the ring. Man, some of these segments were unbearably long. Borne doesn’t work a bearhug like Buzz and by the end I was just wanting the match to be over. I am not totally bashing the match but after Flair-Kevin and Lawler-Kerry this doesn’t make the cut.
June 25, 201015 yr comment_5452374 The headlock section went on too long, but it wasn't that bad. Borne did a lot of stuff trying to work his way out of it. I also liked Borne trying to egg Lance into punching him early in the match. All in all, I think I liked this match even more than Kris did, and I would second the nomination, but let's face it, the finish line is in spitting distance, and none of us are going to fight for this one. There isn't really much of a point.
