All Japan Pro Wrestling (October 1 & October 8 1989)

1. Isamu Teranishi vs Mighty Inoue - JIP and pretty dull.

2. Toshiaki Kawada & Fuyuki vs Shunji Takano & Yoshiaki Yatsu - This featured plenty of back and forth action but fell squarely in the good, yet unexceptional range.

3. Stan Hansen & Genichiro Tenryu vs Jumbo Tsuruta & Great Kabuki - Hansen and Tenryu dominated the offense and didn't do anything terribly interesting with it. Just a boring, heatless match.

4. Dan Kroffat & Ken Shamrock vs Joe Malenko & Kenta Kobashi - Reviewed on Classics.

5. Stan Hansen & Fuyuki vs Yoshiaki Yatsu & Akira Taue - Hansen should have wrestled this as a handicap match, because he kicked the hell out Taue and Yatsu for much of the way. Fuyuki was only there to be vulnerable. The match did feature a couple neat moments. Hansen stepped into the ring just as Taue came off the top rope for a double axehandle on Fuyuki and greeted Akira's ribs with his shoulder. Just a great save. Later, Yatsu tripped his own partner to save him from taking the western lariat. But Taue took a brutal one a few seconds later for the fall. Overall, not enough here for a nomination.

6. Genichiro Tenryu & Toshiaki Kawada vs Jumbo Tsuruta & Shunji Takano - Reviewed on Classics.
